      planet fitness runs a scam where they do not allow you to cancel your membership from the app. I injured myself at the club on 7/18 and my doctor didn't clear my to return to exercising. I tried to cancel on the app and its not possible, so I called and they said it was MANDATORY that I drive to the club to cancel. I lived a significant distance away and forgot to cancel, which is what they want in this cancellation scam. On 11/09 I did return to the club and an employee checked me in and said he would cancel the membership.. He didnt.. When I saw it was going to rebill, I contacted PF BY PHONE on 11/13 and ******** cancelled the membership. Se attached. However I was still billed again on 11/17.. Multiple calls to ******** havent helped. I asked him to call corporate and no response. I contacted PF on ********, and no response. These people are stealing money from this cancellation scam

      I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.

       

      To make this complaint even worse..

      Immediately after I filed the complaint, the ** store called me and promised me a refund... But the refund never came..

      They are just running a cancellation scam and until someone in authority does something about it, they wont stop

      This is not the experience that we strive to deliver for our members!  Since this notification in February 2025 our management team has actively tried to get into contact with the member to further address and resolve the above situation. We have called multiple times and emailed but have still not heard ******* soon as we hear back from the member, we will work to address any and all issues immediately.

      The business sent 1 email to ******************** Nothing else..

      I have responded 3 times to **** *******..  The are lying when they say I am not answering my phone.

      I can not answer my phone line ************, but they can leave a message there and I would call from my 954 number.

      This company employs the most predatory tactics I have encountered. In addition to making it impossible to cancel a membership without putting a stop payment order on their ACH withdrawals, this company routinely will attempt to draw from a bank account with no funding. Last month they tried their withdrawal 7 times. 7 times they attempted a withdrawal with federal regulation stating they are only allowed to try three times. Not to mention they attempted these withdrawals at 1-2 am CT. This company doesn't care about anything but profit margins.
