I had a lung CT on 2/19/24 that was fully covered by BCBS as I am a former smoker. I began receiving a bill for $175.70 and upon questioning this, was told by BCBS that it is a fully covered screening but "the claim was submitted with the wrong code." I contacted **************** who said they can't do anything and to contact the prescribing MD. I contacted the office of the MD who has left the practice and they referred me back to billing. ******* said there was nothing they could do and referred me back to BCBS and the office. This IS a fully covered screening as I had one the previous year as well. The prescribing MD is *********************** and he was located at ************************************************. When I had my initial visit with him, he was surprised to hear that I had not been told that he was leaving the practice. Now that he is no longer there to verify the appropriate screening code, no one is able to rectify the issue. I had thought it wasteful to have this screening again to which ************** said since it's covered because it's less expensive for BCBS than if I were to be diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, it's wise to do it. The screening tech. said the same thing. Now, **** is threatening collection activity. Not one of the three entities involved is willing to look into this but instead keep "passing me off to the other."Thank you for your time,*****************
