      I am an entertainer that has worked with Athena properties over the past several years. For all of that time I have had to chase every single payment!! Most other companies honor a 30 day payment, but not them! I have waited at times, up to six months to get payment and only then after many calls. This is deliberate. I however have decided that Athena is totally unethical . As a result, I have decided to not perform for any Athena properties and am advising other entertainers to do the same.

      They keep sending me access codes to my cell phonei have not prompted any of them.called to ask them to stop but they said they were coming from my Drs officesince i am not asking for them and it does not identify the sender this makes no sense.i have gotten over 20 in the last ******* this a fluke or is someone trying for my ******************************* does not even seem to know how there own system works

      This portal is inaccessible more often than not. If you can get into the system, the functionality is acceptable but does not light a candle to MyChart and other comparable products. My health provider receives complaints from patients on a regular basis. Not sure how they're staying in business!

      Dropped my messages to the healthcare provider SWS&S so the provider did not respond to my scheduling needs. They had before, so why are they not now? Most of these patient portals are not worth the money spent on them!

      I think a 1 star rating is too generous. This is the biggest c*** business in the world Can't get help on portal that they constantly say I am not a customer of my doctor, with whom I have been for over 20 years. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE HORRID PEOPLE - Oh, but you would never be able to contact them if you did try to do business with them. AVOID. RUN, RUN, RUN.

      The group that my APRN therapist works with started using Athena within the past year. The very first experience I had was when the portal asked me to "check in" for my appointment. To me, checking in for your appointment is what you do when you arrive at the office. My appointment wasn't for another week so I figured it was just sent early in preparation. Nope; over the next week I received emails, voice messages, and texts telling me that I must check in in order to have my appointment. I've known my therapist for a long time. I knew she wouldn't just cancel on me, so I ignored those messages and went to see her as scheduled. Then the office staff told me that I needed to put my insurance information into my profile. Why? They've had all of my billing info on file for a very long time. Reluctantly, I went to the portal to enter that information and instead was forced to go through multiple pages asking for my medical history not relevant to seeing a therapist. It felt very invasive and very impersonal. Since then, each time I have an upcoming appointment I am sent the very same email--which is apparently supposed to be a reminder of your appointment and you confirming you are aware--I am forced to go through each of those pages again. H*** no! I'm not giving some unknown entity on the mainland (I'm in ******) my medical history! I am so annoyed with this situation that I seriously considered finding another therapist who has nothing to do with Athenahealth. But I like my therapist and it's not easy to find one who is a good fit. Fortunately, she is okay with me texting her if I need to instead.

      TERRIBLE BILLING SYSTEM I wish I could give a half star. One star is too generous. The online portal is never working. I attempted to use my cell phone and a computer to pay my bill but all attempts were unsuccessful. Good luck calling ************ because you will be disconnected.

      Patient portal does not work. I only just started getting mail and emails about a bill that was already overdue for over 450 days. I've tried over multiple months to try to pay online, but the online payment system does not work, it will spend hours on a load screen only to never load.

      Terrible patient portal. They send you messages that you need to fill out a form or review a test result but nothing is in the portal at that time. Something might appear a couple days later.
