Amundi was the finance company in charge of my daughter's minor **** account. we have tried for over a year to get the money out of that **** account and transferred to another financial institution. They consistently stonewall us at every turn and keep requesting different forms and/or different notary services. Last year, in May of 2023, we submitted paperwork to transfer my daughter's **** account to Etrade. We received a letter some time later telling us that we had to obtain a ***************** Guarantee - which is a significantly costly, difficult notary to get. We tried working through both Etrade and Fidelity to work directly with Amundi to facilitate the transfer. Both companies eventually told us that they simply could not get Amundi to work on the transfer. On May 13, 2024, we again spoke to another customer service rep at ********************** who told us the best way to close this out was to submit yet another form and tell them to close out the account and submit the check straight to our address on record to the owners of the account. We went again and purchased notary services and submitted what we were told was the required paperwork. We then received a voice mail from an ************************* on 5/24/2024 who said they were looking for some 'clarification on the paperwork' we sent them. When we contacted Amundi today, 5/28/2024, we were told in another reversal that we had to submit ***************** Guarantee. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but none were "available". I would get the Medallion done, but I have little confidence that this will actually change anything and they will simply come up with yet another excuse to not give my daughter her money. Any assistance to get this company to complete this transaction would be greatly appreciated.

On January 31, **** I went to my local bank, then Ionia ******************** and invested $294.50 in what was then Pioneer Investments. I let the representative know that I just wanted to let my money sit. I expressed concern that we might not get our money back should anything happen to me and the representative assured me that only myself or my father could get the money. After all these years we were wondering the status of the investment so on January 31, 2022 I called the number *********** on my last statement dated September 30, 2007. I spoke with ******* who told me the account was closed on March 13, 2009. I made other calls to no effect on 02-07-22 and on 02-14-22 *** finally told me that there was a pay out of $293.64 and the check # was *******. Then on 03-29-22 I returned ***** Warblack's call only to speak with ********************* who said she worked with her and would call me the next day, which didn't happen. So then I began a complaint with the **************************** which has gone no where but to get me tidbits of more information. Amundi does not want to take any responsibility for the wrong doing. They only tell me that their agent has a procedure to validate that redemptions via phone are genuine and that they send written confirmation of the payout which we never got. In fact, they sent statements to an address that my father nor I have ever lived at. We want our money.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

Amundi sent another response to me directly regarding my complaint to you.  They are still hiding behind their retention rates to not answer my question or pay my money to me.  The message that you have relayed to me that they tell you that they refuse to answer any of your questions because you are a third party.  This is just another tactic to not answer my questions or pay my money to me.  Clearly they have given my money to an unauthorized third party so they do share my stuff with others.  I want my money!  It is rightfully my hard-earned money no matter how long ago it was paid out to the wrong people and I want it back.  I have responded and told them that I want my money and they can be done with me as soon as they paid it out to me.
