Hello,My name is ***************************** and last night I was subjected to unlawful towing by Roberts towing company based out of ********, **. I am a resident of ***********************************************************************************, and I was parked in a legal spot right next to the building where I live. There have been previous times where I had parked in the parking lot owned by Samia companies (which I acknowledge is not allowed) so the property manager of that building told the towing company that they can tow my car if they see my parking in the parking lot. However, at the time of being towed, I was not parked in their parking lot and I was parked in a legal spot directly next to my building where there are no signs about not being able to park. After being towed last night, I came back home confused about where I can park, so I parked in the Samia parking lot again with the intention to move it as early as I could this morning. My car ended up being towed a second time, although this time I acknowledge that I am not allowed to park in their parking lot. However, I am seeking to retrieve at least $170, which was the cost of the initial tow last night, from Roberts towing company for unlawfully towing my car from a properly parked spot and to ensure that this never happens again. There are cameras that my building installed that should have proof that I was parked legally on the side. I had spoken to both the towing company and the property manager and neither of them wanted to accept any responsibility for the incident and it has been very frustrating. My car license plate is ******, my name is *****************************, and I can be reached by email at ******************** and by phone at ************. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I am looking forward to the response.Sincerely,*****************************

I live at *********************. Roberts towing took my car illegally as they only are responsible for 9 Sunset. The cars at 9 need a parking sticker, the ones at 7 do not.The property manager call ******'s to explain and they hung up the phone, I called ************* and they offered no help. Unbelievable in 2024.

I got on the side of my car and the tow driver saw I was going to get into it and he started the truck running in reverse really fast, which almost ran over me and my mom, blocking me to get into my car. I told him that he couldnt tow me if I was there and my car wasnt even hooked up yet then I told him it was my car before his truck even touched it. I believe that he saw it was only a girl and an old woman and he started being so gross (scared my mom so much) started to talk aggressively. I started calling the police and then he started towing my car so quickly that I couldnt have a chance to even open my car. Me and my mom got so scared that we thought he was going to punch us in the face. We called my father and asked him to help us picking up my car. I didnt even mentioned that they scratched my car.

Good afternoon,I was towed by this company within 2 minutes of parking on ********************., ******, ** . Based on the circumstances, I know that Roberts Towing LLC is waiting for people at a specific location to tow their cars within less than 5 minutes of leaving the car. It is impossible to tow someone's car that fast if they are not waiting for someone intentionally. Also, when I went to pick up my car, the front desk woman refused to give me a receipt or any documentation prior to paying them cash. Also, when I asked to give me a supervisor information or owner information she refused to do so. Furthermore, she was extremely rude. I would very much appreciate it if you could investigate the operation of this business.Thank you,

On 6/27/23 my car was parked in a lot for apartments. We were staying with a tenant and had approval to be in the lot by property management with strict instructions where to park and a pass was not needed for those spots. We came out the next morning to find out car had been towed in the middle of the night. I called the property manager who told me they did not call the towing company. They advised we file a police report. When I called the police I was told it was a civil matter and they could not assist. They asked the name of the towing company and when I told them they suggested that I file a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General as this company is known in the area for their shady business practices. I called the towing company and spoke to a lady who refused to give her name and told her they illegally towed my car and I gave her the property managers name and phone number. She told me to hold (which I did for roughly 4 mins) then came back, called me a liar, and said the owner talked to the property manager and I was full of ****, I asked if she could confirm that we spoke to the same person and she told me she didnt have to do anything and it would be $163.50 CASH ONLY to get my car back and hung up on me. Someone needs to do something about this place. We have proof we were parked legally and they were still able to steal our car and extort money from us.

On the night of March 13, 2023 I had parked my vehicle at the *************************************** parking lot around 12am from a trip to ********. I had left the car for about an hour and had planned to move the car before the posted time. The are numerous signs in the lot that say different things (two indicating that permit parking is only in effect between 7am-7pm and a few stating that there is no parking). Furthermore, the signs didn't indicate which spots this pertained to. I woke up at 8am to the car missing from the lot, which is understandable at first. I called the tow yard and they said that it was $160 cash only and proceeded to hang up when I asked for their address. I arrived at the tow yard to a small hut that was on the lot and they proceeded to take my $160 cash and give me a receipt, which they never asked me to sign the release form, never checked my license, concluding that I could've been a random person with the keys to the vehicle, stealing the car. Upon arriving back home, the receipt indicated that the vehicle was removed from the lot at 1:59 am (outside of the posted time of permit parking). With that in mind, I had friends who lived at *************************************** call the management company ************* that has a contract with this business and they never received an invoice for this tow to happen (no call, no email, no official record). There have been numerous reportings online of this company taking cars from spots when they shouldn't have and at the very least, a refund should be initiated (I can't even void this charge because THEY ARE CASH ONLY). The lot has too many conflicting signs, the towing company was not only unprofessional, but took my vehicle without proper reasoning to do so and against the signage to do so. I was also parked where there were no signs, as it appeared that sections of the parking lot had different parking rules/tow companies affiliated.

We went to BSC for approximately 25 minutes for my partner to help me with an exercise for an injury. The garage parking was full where my partner usually parks, and I usually bike. We parked in a spot we thought was BSC parking, and when we came back out the car was gone. This was an extremely dangerous situation for us. It was 13F and layers were in the towed car. We had to get to an ATM and the towing company while almost freezing, we returned home with extremely low body temperatures. We are requesting a hearing or adjustment of fine due to the extremely short period of parking in an area we didn't realize was a tow zone, and due to extreme temperatures that posed a danger to our health and lives with the car being towed. We were charged $149.05 in cash

It is the towing company's responsibility to maintain the parking signs on the parking lots, all signs in the lot were faded and/or missing. Additionally, I was overcharged the amount for a towing company's storage per 24 hour (~$107). I was towed twice; both times I asked if I can pay a discounted price for the van to be dropped off instead of being towed - I was refused both times rudely by the same employee. The second towing incident was not made by a call, but rather an observation as stated by the driver of the towing truck. He stated that he "saw my **Haul Truck 'parked' and had to tow it again". After arriving for the second tow, I stopped him and asked for a discount; I was refused rudely again by the employee. The **Haul van was in front of my townhouse and was not blocking anyone, the doors and rear door were both open.
