The tattoo artist failed to provide me original service that was promised by the tattoo artist. I emailed the tattoo artist a photo of the tattoo I wanted on my hand and told him I wanted the placement of the ink work on the exact spots of the fingers as seen in the photo however the tattoo artist Justin did otherwise and I am extremely upset and would like a touch up and my money back As seen in the image below the tattoo on my hand is not identical to the original picture

    Business response

    04/05/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2022/03/31) */ The client came into the tattoo studio and informed our front end help that he would like to have butterflies and initials tattooed on the top of his hand and his fingers. Our front end help advised against this because finger and hand tattoos almost always have difficulty healing, can be "blown out", and "fall out". This type of tattoo is considered a "delicate area" and requires a secondary consent form titled "Delicate Area Release Form". In order for any of our tattoo artists to tattoo a delicate area, the form needs to be signed. The client seemed to understand this information and wanted to move forward with the tattoo regardless. When discussing the tattoo design with him, the client was advised that the design would be close to the reference that he provided, but the tattoo artist would slightly alter the design so as to not directly copy another artist's work. In the consent form that the client signed he agreed to the following clause: "Variations in color and design may exist between the tattoo art that I have selected and the actual tattoo when it is applied to my body. I also understand that over time, the colors and clarity of my tattoo will fade due to unprotected exposure to the sun and naturally occurring dispersion of the pigment under the skin." In the consent form that the client signed, he also agreed to the following clause: "That both the Artist and the Tattoo Studio have given me the full opportunity to ask any and all questions about the application of my tattoo and all of my questions have been answered to my total satisfaction." If the client was unhappy with the design, he had been afforded every opportunity to move the stencil of the work before the tattoo began. He was shown the tattoo design that was stenciled onto his hand and fingers and provided consent for the tattoo process to begin. Lastly, on the Delicate Release Form, the client understood, agreed and signed the following clause regarding the cost of a touch up: "I fully understand that touch-ups will be done at the rate of half the cost of the original price of the tattoo." All of the terms that the client agreed to have been documented in this response. His signature is a clear indication that he agreed to the terms of receiving a tattoo in our studio. We are saddened that he is unhappy with his tattoo, however, the forms that he has read and signed have clearly outlined what our policies are. Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2022/04/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The response does not reflect the tattoo artist lack of making The tattoo identical as seen in photo he failed to make my hand tattoo matching the photo the placement of the ink is off and the tattoo artist Justin should be there held responsible I want my tattoo on the finger touched up and money back for not making the tattoo as identical as photo Business Response /* (1000, 24, 2022/04/01) */ As stated in our initial response, you were made aware of our policies prior to getting tattooed. Both that there may be variations in the tattoo you choose and how it looks once tattooed on you. (Tattoos are hand made, everybody's skin and anatomy is unique, therefore making it impossible to do two identical tattoos). And that our policy on touching up areas notorious for healing poorly such as hands and fingers (where you revived your tattoo) would be done at 1/2 the rate of the original tattoo. You agreed and signed off on both of these policies. We wish you luck in your future tattooing endeavors. -HsHgTattoo
