We hired Power Painting Plus in the summer of 2022 to paint our home (walls, ceilings, trim and doors). We paid an exorbitant amount just shy of $ 15,000.The contractor has purchased UltraSpec 500 grade paint instead of the agreed upon paint grade, Regal. The UltraSpec 500 paint is of significantly lower quality and price compared to the Regal paint, and it failed to provide the desired finish and durability. We have provided him with our detailed *************************** colour palette along with the many texts and couple of phone conversations we had where we discussed Regal versus other brands such as ****** and Ball which was what we inquired about in the first place.Once confronted about purchasing UltraSpec 500, the owner made many contradictory statements regarding the reason why *************************** Regal grade paint was not used. His first answer was that he believed at the time Regal was not available and on nation-wide back order. He then proceeded to tell us that he was not aware that Ultra Spec was purchased instead of Regal, which as one can determine, clearly contradicts his previous statement that ***** was not available at the time and on back order. He then also carried on with assigning fault to the store saying that it was a mistake on the store side that he unfortunately did not catch on time.My husband and I are profoundly disappointed with the quality of the work. We still have many issues that have never been rectified. Large areas in our bedroom closets that were never painted, paint on the chandelier by the main entrance, door hinges that are covered in paint, large areas of walls that have a shadow that we believe resulted from over spraying the baseboards and then painting the walls with low quality paint.I sued the company in small claims court and waiting for the judicial system to handle this.It is sad that some companies choose to take advantage of people's hard-earned money this way and in the process destroy whatever reputation they had.

We hired Power ************* in ******************************** our kitchen. They subcontracted the job to other contractors and the job was not done correctly resulting in tiles cracking and being loose within weeks. Power has been here a couple of times try to fix the issue but the problems continue. Now the tiles have been discontinued and Im looking for Power to reinstall new tiles properly. They cannot use their insurance to fix the issue because they subcontracted the job and were not supposed to do so.
