I bought a 2007 Volxwagen Passat from *********************************, employee of Sweet Rides, on September 18th. The car seemed to be in good condition, and was previously inspected until this December. *** only had the car for a month, and it completely died on me mid-drive, almost causing an accident. An oil pressure light originally came on, and my engine turned off mid drive. After taking a look at the car and using a code reader, it seemed ok to continue the last 5 minutes of my drive, as there were no codes, the fluids were all full, and it only looked like I needed an oil change. Only about a minute left until I met my destination, the same oil light came on, a generator malfunction light, and the battery suddenly died. We used a code reader again, and now this time, there are multiple issues. I need an entirely new engine and lost an additional 130$ for a tow truck. As the car was getting taken off the truck, the parking break malfunctioned, all of the lights on the dash turned on, and the car is completely dead. Not only was I in danger, merely crashing into a telephone pole, but the seller refuses to help. While buying the car, she stated that they were affiliated with a mechanic that could fix anything for cheap, but if I had any major issues, we could swap the car entirely with a new one. The seller is very rude and unprofessional, and I have received no help whatsoever. I am simply asking for a refund and they can take the car back at this point. I have barely driven it since I got it, as I only have a 10minute commute from work to home, which is what I primarily used it for. I have been in no accidents and treated the car well. Very disappointed in both ********, and Sweet Rides. I have overall lost almost 3k and would like any sort of resolution.

I bought a car from ******************, owner of Sweet Rides in ********** **. ******* never mentioned he owned this business nor sold it in **********. The car was sold for *****. The lemon aid law states: consumer protection law, called the ************* Lemon Aid Law, allows you to cancel a new or used purchase agreement if the vehicle fails to pass inspection at an inspection station within seven days of purchase, and the cost to repair the emissions or safety issues is more than 10 percent of the purchase. **************** failed to oblige to the Lemon Aid Law and has me blocked all forms of contact.
