            Mr ******** accepted 2 thousand dollars from me in August 2022 to file a modification to alimony from my divorce from 2008. His communication to me since then has been vague My ex was supposed to be notified back in September and still hasn't been. He told me in September that the motion was filed, but the court is sitting on it. He ensured me that he was also going to get me his retirement pension too. In October I inquired about my ex's pention directly through the military and was told that since I wasn't given it in my decree, that I would be able to collect now. I told this to me lawyer and questioned him as to whether he actually read my decree and he had to pull it up and read that section while on the phone with me and said that I wouldn't be able to get it. He lied to me. Since that phone call he only returns my calls with a message stating to call him back. He will not respond to my emails.The only time he returns my calls is when I call the other law firm he works for; ***********************, Associates, LLC.The last email I sent to him was to cancel services and return my money. He didn't respond. I would like to know if the motion was ever filed in court and he lied and would like my money returned, so that I can seek new council. No lawyer will take my case under the current circumstances.
