    I was working with a company to get rid of my timeshare and ************************ reached out to the company. He said I would be able to get out of it. The first fee I paid was over $900 and the final payment was almost $3,000. SeaMist did not hold the mortgage and he had no right to take my money. I then did not have a deed or rights to my week, but still owed InnSeasons the mortgage. If the money was returned, I would then be responsible for additional maintenance fees and all of the mortgage. I do not know where my money went and then needed to come up with part of the mortgage to get out of the timeshare. By rights, my money should be returned to me, but more importantly, people should not get involved with InnSeasons, SeaMist or Vacation Resorts International for timeshares. It is very difficult to get out of them since there are multiple companies involved.

    I never directly spoke to **************, as Sea Mist Resort was contacted by ************ Offices from ********** ** as her representative. This law firm is known to specialize in exiting people from their timeshare. We responded to them with the same offer we make to all owners, they can exit for $2750.00. We received a check and supplied and recorded the returned documents. As stated previously, I never spoke or corresponded with **************. Sea Mist Resort does not hold any mortgages on any timeshare. I have copies of the letter of representation from Attorney ********, and emails between myself and a ********************************* in his office. This email show I warned ****************** that ************** would still be responsible for any undischarged mortgage. This email was on 11/16/21 and the return of the timeshare was not recorded until 12/20/21. Sea Mist did receive $2750.00 and it was recorded on the account. We have no knowledge of what the arrangements were with the law firm or Innseason Resort.

    ********* from ******************** worked with me and never once was I told by her that I would still be responsible for the mortgage. She was just as surprised as I was. When speaking to the company that held the mortgage, ************ was told that ************************ did not have the right to take money from me and take away my week of the timeshare when I still had a mortgage to pay. None of my documents or correspondence from SeaMist that ************ passed on to me ever indicated I wouldve paying a mortgage for a week that I no longer owed at SeaMist. Before I began working with ************, I had phone calls and email correspondence with ************************ - July and August of 2019.
