On April 13, 2024 my car was involved in an accident and my insurance company contacted Agero for a tow and they dispatched a tow company to come and pickup my vehicle. The tow company was supposed to deliver my car to Caliber Collision located in *******, Il however they took it to a tow yard. On Monday April 15 my car still hadn't made it to Caliber so the insurance company called to see the status of drop off of my vehicle. My car was delivered to Caliber on May 16 at aproximately 4:00 pm with damages that were not caused by the accident. I immediately informed Agero that my car sustained damages from being towed. They asked me to provide a statement, photos, and an estimate of the damages. I provided them with the information they requested. The original estimate was for $2901.79. I called my case manager several times to check on the status of my claim to no avail in speaking with my case manager or anyone else. I received an email from *********************** on May 1 that stated my case was in the final stages of investigation and would have a resolution no later than May 3. I finally was able to speak to ********* on May 15 and she informed me that the claim was settled that day and she was sending a check for $933.06 and to be on the look out for check in a unmarked white envelope. I informed her that the final cost to repair my vehicle was $2429.62 which I paid and that I would send her the invoice. I asked her should I cash the original check when it comes because it wasn't for the full amount and she said yes and told me to send the final invoice in and she would get it processed. I sent in the final invoice via email on May 17 as proof of the amount I paid for the damages. I have not received the remaining balance of $1496.51. I am seeking the assistance of the BBB to help me receive the remaining balance.
