      In January 2025, we discovered an inaccurate menu posted on our restaurant's ****** Business profile. The menu was published by SinglePlatform, a TripAdvisor company, without our consent. It includes items that appear loosely similar to ours (e.g., junior double cheeseburgers, fries), but the pricing and offerings are outdated and not reflective of our business. This misleading information confuses customers and damages our credibility.We have no ability to remove or edit this content ourselves. After contacting ******, we were informed that only TripAdvisor/SinglePlatform can remove the menu, as they are the third-party publisher.Since February, I have submitted three separate help tickets to SinglePlatform via their official channels. Ive also sent multiple emails to every contact address I could locate for both SinglePlatform and TripAdvisor. To date, I have received no response ************* researching the issue, I discovered numerous similar complaints from other business owners. It appears this company has a history of scraping menus from the internet and attaching them to business listings on ****** without verification or permission and then ignoring all requests for corrections or removal.This practice is deceptive, harmful to small businesses, and violates ******s 3rd party content guidelines. I have filed a formal complaint with ****** and am now seeking assistance from the BBB to help hold TripAdvisor accountable for their failure to respond and remove this unauthorized content.We are beyond frustrated and feel helpless in addressing something that affects our online reputation and customer trust.

      I have logged 3 previous support tickets via the link they provided since February of 2025. None have been answered. I also contacted TripAdvisor directly for help and they told me to mail their legal team. They have yet to provide an actual path to resolve this issue with their company, Single Platform.

      I am submitting this complaint against TripAdvisor for hosting a fraudulent and defamatory profile associated with my business, which has caused substantial damage to our reputation and operations. Despite multiple attempts to address the issue, including providing evidence of inaccuracies and that these photos and reviews are for a completely different business, TripAdvisor has failed to take any action, thus violating fair business practices and defamation laws. Issues:Incorrect Listing: The profile contains incorrect names and misrepresents our business with features we do not have and rooms and amenities we do not offer.Defamatory Reviews: The reviews attack our reputation as business owners, despite having no valid connection to our business. These reviews are often 10 years old and we have only been operational for 3 months. Failure to Act: Despite providing evidence, including event records that disprove the false claims, TripAdvisor has ignored our attempts to resolve the issue.Malicious Intent: Trip Advisor maliciously linked these businesses to ours and appears to have been done with the intent to harm our business, confuse customers, and negatively affect our revenue. We have lost thousands in revenue as a result of this malicious act. Resolution Requested:Remove the false profile, defamatory reviews, and inaccurate photos. Investigate the creation of this fraudulent linking.Take responsibility for the harm caused. Refund the full amount for the Business Advantage Plan.       Hello,

      We understand you are still seeking assistance with updating your business listing. Per our response to your original complaint #********, our Support agents have been in continuous communication with you via case 11310066 which is still open at this time. We'd be happy to continue resolving any other updates you wish to make to your listing.

      Please note, this all stemmed from the merging of two listings that were published to the Tripadvisor website with the same address. When an Accommodation is either sold or comes under new ownership, we do not delete the old lisitng and create a new one, nor do we allow duplicates to remain on our site. We would instead have the new owner take over the original profile and would make any necessary changes as needed for the new property details. The issue here was that since there were two pages for the one property, our process to resolve this would be to merge the listings and then process an ownership change.

      An ownership change allows for old traveler photos and reviews associated with the previous owners to be removed. As we mentioned in your last complaint, this was already completed as of March 25, 2025. It does take some time for your page to update, so we ask you to continue to have patience. If there are still management photos you'd like removed or you would like to request a category change or make any other updates to your listing, you may specify this to our agents who we will have contact you shortly. Your listing ranking will take some time to update as there are many aspects that impact the popularity index especially when various reviews are removed. There is nothing we can do to speed this process up at this time.

      As for your Business Advantage subscription, the cancellation was already processed as per your request and a refund of USD 88.61 was applied to the payment method you saved on file. Please take a look at your ************** under the Payments tab to see this reflected. If you are not seeing the amount returned to your card, we would suggest you speak with your bank.       Additional 4 attempts at contact with Trip Advisor were unsuccessful. Trip Advisor assured us that after 5 business days, they will remove all incorrect photos and reviews, both of which never belonged to our business. We provided multiple forms of evidence proving that we were not affiliated with those other businesses and once again, Trip Advisor advised us that although it took them 30 seconds to harm our business, we would need to wait 5 business days for them to correct this substantial damage.

       

      It has now been 7 business days. No action has been taken on TripAdvisors part to rectify their mistake.

       

      TripAdvisor is still violating fair business practices and defamation laws and is refusing to take any steps to correct this malicious act on their part.

      TripAdvisor is continuing to confuse customers and exposing us to legal ramifications by having another local businesss photos and reviews linked to our profile. 

      Finally, we do not accept the partial refund offered as we did not receive the goods TripAdvisor promised us. 

      We expect an actual resolution this time. It is unacceptable to ask us to keep waiting when assurances were made that this would be rectified last week. Every day that this isnt resolved is causing us substantial damage to our reputation and operations.

      Trip Advisor took our business profile after charging us a yearly business advantage fee and attached photos, reviews, and other information of a different business. Trip Advisor insisted that they will need proof that we were a new business. We provided them with deed transfer information, grand opening information, access to our tax logs, new owner information and so much more. Trip Advisor still refused to remove the incorrect information. We asked them to remove our Trademarked information and again, they refused to assist.

It's important to note that although you have taken over the property we would not allow a new listing to be created. We would instead process an ownership change on the original listing and you will then make any updates on the name, management photos, etc. Additionally, we could process an ownership change which would allow the removal of all old traveler reviews and photos related to the business prior to your date of purchasing the property.

      As per the numerous customer service agents we communicated with at Trip Advisor, we were ensured that the problem would be rectified after the first set of documents were provided. It has now been a week and not a single photo or inaccurate review has been removed. Additionally, we asked for our Business Advantage plan to be canceled immediately since we are unable to use it under such conditions, and as of 3/28/25, we have still not been refunded for this purchase. We have once again attempted to contact Trip Advisor several times but to no avail. We have also not seen an update on our ranking as a "small hotel"/B&B despite these descriptions not matching our property. We have offered Trip Advisor the option to simply remove our property from their website since they are now carrying our trademarked materials but they are refusing to accommodate this request as well.

      My review was removed by TripAdvisor according to Irrelevant to Trip Experiences policy. However, I believe I didn't violate this policy and I requested to appeal. TripAdvisor rejected my appeal without providing any specific reason.

      As I expressed in several emails and calls, my issue is not with the rate of the hotel. My issue was that ********* advertised the express deal that I purchased as a 4 star hotel. Upon arrival I quickly learned that was not the case. Upon, checkin there were several people in the lobby expressing their issues upon my check-in. I asked the manager of the hotel if it was ok for me to take a peak at the room upon check-in after hearing other customers express their issues. Upon entering the room there were several issues. - sink in bathroom does not drain - toilet does not flush - Vents are beyond dusty and dirty and grime - there are bed bug marks on bedding - there is hair on bedding - floors are dirty - wall paper is peeling and old - there is mold in the bathroom I then called Priceline and spoke with a manager ***. She asked me if I communicated these issues with the hotel which I expressed I did and they told me that was the only room they had available. I was then asked to send pictures of the issue. After I sent in these pictures I was told they reached out to the hotel and third party who could not get a response and I would be refunded within 24/48 hours. If Priceline is on a money grab by intentionally misrepresenting hotel properties via TripAdvisor (this property clearly was not a 4 star hotel) that is wrong and I would like full refund to avoid pursuing further action. I will not be paying for a hotel that was I was unable to stay in.

      A hotel reservation was made 9/7/24 for a one room to a Barcelona hotel, check in: 10/15/24 and check out: 10/19/24 Room type: junior suite terrace Amount paid in full same day of reservation 9/7/24: USD ******** Room(4 night) $1,833.50 Taxes and fees: $209.23 When I arrived at the hotel they informed me that my reservation was not for a JUNIOR SUITE TERRACE but just a Junior suite, of course half the price I paid TripAdvisor. I have been in contact with the customer service and they are NOT been able to resolve my issue they want to give a voucher for 10% of the difference.I paid $458.38 per night for four nights They gave a room that was $273.88 per night for four nights.I am requesting the difference of $738.00 refund to the account where I made payment to them not any other voucher or discounts. I would appreciate you could help me clarify this issue and find out if this is a common practice of this company. Thanks

      the customer service team keeps coming back with the same solution of 20% refund  I did not make any changes to the reservation, I paid in full the amount requested , someone internally made the change and kept the original higher price I should be awarded a full return of the difference
