Trip Advisor and ****** do not place customer complaints anywhere but in the trash. After several attempts to communicate a reservation/tour issue I got nowhere. Will not be using Trip Advisor or ****** for my future travel plans.TripAdvisor, LLC

TripAdvisor directed me to Algotels and ******** is a fraudulant company. I booked a hotel room with Algotels because I trusted TripAdvisor. Algotels is a scam and put my teenage son in a dangerous situation in a remote area with a scam hotel reservation. This created hours of stress and money loss. Online, I see many others have had a similar experience to mine. I will no longer use or trust Tripadvisor.TripAdvisor, LLC

You can forget Vitaor's "Low Price Guarantee"TripAdvisor provides false information. I booked a reservation for a tour at ****************** not noticing that Arlingtontours.com provided the EXACT tour for ***** ************** included for x2 people). I paid ***** to book with TripAdvisor for a tour for the date 6/21/2024. I contacted TripAdvisor (Viator) the day prior to the trip at 6:24 & 6:44PM on 6/20/2024 (TWO times via phone call). I also sent emails to Viator as the "customer service" told me to do because this was the only way to request "price match/Change of Dates/Cancel". I received a email they can not price match UNLESS you contact them 24 hours prior to reservation or change dates 24 hours prior to a reservation. My reservation was booked/confirmed at 8:57AM on 6/20/2024. I received a rude response from the tour operator "Unscripted Tours". Stating we had others waiting for us. We did not attend the tour because it was a hassle to even attempt getting a price match or even trying to cancel or change tour dates so we could cancel and get the "Low Price Guarantee" HOWEVER on my reservation that is still showing on Tripavisor it shows under cancelation policy:For a full refund, cancel "at least" 24hours in advance of the start time of the experience. I contacted TripAdvisor/Viator well with in a 12 hour period of us finding a better pricing option.I received the same response from viator 3x regarding my emails. That the information they have the indeed did provide the best pricing for the tour. EVEN though I provided information/websites ect. that they infact are not providing the best pricing.MeganT91

1 starWe used TripAdvisor, aka. Viator, to book a tour with Honest ECO to take two adults on a dolphin watch and snorkel adventure on June 1st. Due to a medical emergency (that was not a pre-existing condition) that occurred on a separate snorkeling tour on May 28th, one of the adult tickets had to be cancelled for the June 1st tour. TripAdvisor was not available in a timely manner. All phone and online support directed us back to the app to make the changes. However, the app is not designed to change the number of people taking a tour. The booking for two adults had to be canceled with a minimum of 48 hours notice to get a full refund. We contacted Honest ECO directly to apologize on May 28th and My 29th by email and phone. They referred us back to TripAdvisor to resolve the issue because our tour was booked through a third party. TripAdvisors terms and conditions stated that a booking was fully refundable if cancellation was processed before a deadline of May 31st. We cancelled through the app on May 30th. In order to be able to take the tour as a single guest, I had to make a new booking as a single participant. I printed that ticket and presented it to the captain of the boat on June 1st. However, TripAdvisor has refused to refund the original booking for $268.90. They processed a partial refund for half because they believe one person took the tour twice on the same day at the same time under two different booking numbers. Ludicrous! TripAdvisor broke its own terms and conditions about their refund policy. Ive spoken with TripAdvisor five times in the past 19 days. Theyve been inept and rude - constantly interrupting and repeating the same script. They blame the client and the tour operator, but never take any responsibility. Ive been disconnected twice and theyve hung up on the tour operator as well. TripAdvisor offered a partial refund out of goodwill, as a courtesy. We were made aware that we had some negative reviews on Trip Advisor business page for our restaurant. We always follow and respond to all our business reviews through ******* Door Dash, Uber Eats, or ******** and we have thousands of reviews on there and average 4.5 stars with a low of 4.3 and a high of 4.7. Weve always responded and tried to resolve any customer issues.Unfortunately I had completely forget to check our Trip Advisor page even though we had one. I use Trip Advisor on a personal level very extensively and have submitted around 500 reviews globally. When my daughter made Me aware recently that we actually had a Trip Advisor page and had some poor reviews we looked at them and found some of the poor ones were Not of our business. People were posting reviews about my business than didnt pertain to my business. We reached out to Trip Advisor on multiple occasions to get this issue resolved and they put us through a ton of hoops to prove we were the business owner and claim the site which I did. Then they had me flag those bad reviews and send them reasons why they were not my business. They send em back rejected and that they met their guidelines. How can people posting negative reviews about the wrong restaurant meet their guidelines???I called and spoke to them and the customer service ladies seemed concerned and tried to help me but said all they can do is escalate the issue. They understood that the ones we had issue with were delivery issues and items Ive never offered on my menu, or locations that were way too far from my restaurant etc but they still didnt correct these and said they were acceptable. They want me to comment on them instead. They are 5-6 yrs old. Even though i have. 4 star rating it makes us look bad for having poor reviews that were Not of my restaurant. My restaurant has never delivered. We didnt offer any delivery service at all until the Covid in 2020. These reviews are 2-5 yrs prior.TripAdvisor, LLC

Tripadvisor is nothing more than scam for everyone. TripAdvisor made us assume reviews from another business, as well as pictures that didn't pertain to our business. We purchased the Business Advantage package to clean up our business profile as the sales rep promised. They took our payment and ******* ghosted us. We have had hundreds of reviews on our website, expedia, booking.com, and ******* In 7 years we have had 12 reviews and 1/2 of them are from bad guests that we had to kick off the property or fine so those reviews are negative. There are several more reviews from another business that TripAdvisor wouldn't remove. Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit on this business. Now they want $1500 for another year, however my card # has changed so they won't get another dime. If they were to have tried to charge me, i would be disputing through my credit card. There is virtually no way to contact them to cancel the Business Advantage membership without a credit card dispute or cancelling your business credit card. The only reason TA has a 1 star rating is because you can't leave a 0 star rating.TripAdvisor, LLC

This is a complaint about Tripadvisor plus membership which is supposed to give a 10% discount on tours. I have been in contact with at least 10 different agents via email and phone, and many of them have no idea what is going on. I have been trying to price and possibly book many different tours. One minute, I am able to price it with my discount, and the next, that options goes away and the website makes me go to Viator where there is no discount. This has been happening for a few days now, and no one can give me a resolution. In the meantime, I am trying to book a bunch of tours for my cruise, but I can't move on with my research because I can't book a tour with my discount, and my membership is about to expire in a week. I have asked for all sorts of remedies from providing me a 10% off code for Viator to being able to call back and get 10% refunded to extending my membership for at least a few weeks until this issue is fixed, and not a single agent can do a thing. This is really frustrating. In addition, one of agents actually told me I could call back after booking a tour on Viator and get 10% refunded. He even gave me a case number. Yet, when I called back, the agent said there is nothing about getting the 10% refunded and that they can't do that. Why is everyone completely incompetent!?!?TripAdvisor, LLC

How do I add ******** Tours to your site?I keep going to **** center on your website. That does not work. I tried to go to your www.tripadvisor.com/generalsupport. That leads me back to the same page I am having trouble with.******** Tours in ************* has such affordable tours for the middle class.We stayed 10 days travelling all over ****** for **** dollars a piece.
