I visited Polished Nail Salon with my two adult disabled children for several years without incident and have been happy with the service. Recently my non-verbal son waited for an unknown amount of time for his 5:15 scheduled basic mani/pedi (no polish). Prior to dropping him off, I confirmed my telephone # & was told I would be called if the agreed upon time changed. Since he has sleep apnea, he dozed off for an unknown amount of time waiting to be served. When I returned to pick him up at the agreed time, I had to wait because he was still in the middle of the pedi and the mani had not even begun. Being in pain & not able to wait longer (I am elderly) I canceled the mani. Polished fees are very pricey but I used them for the convenience of online booking to avoid wait times, even though their app is confusing: impossible to book back-to-back or 2 simultaneous services. The day after my sons pedi, I received a nasty email from the owner, Ms. ******** who I don't recall ever meeting in the past several years I used the *********** email cited this was the 2nd time she witnessed me making staff uncomfortable and to find another salon!!! Years back she did email me after my sons 1st visit saying she was ****** after servicing him which could be her first & only time seeing my disabled son. During that visit, I dont recall any communication with Ms. ******* but instead gratefully paid for the services. It is my belief the Ms. ******* did not like her customers observe my son sleeping in her waiting chair (which would not have happened if he was seen at the scheduled time). If you decide to visit Polish, be forewarned that you may have: difficulty in making appointments, not to be serviced at the appointment scheduled (because 'they don't rush'), discrimination against special needs adults & an email from owner telling you not to return.
