1 starWas told I needed a new furance for $25, 000 because I had cracks. Then he told me it would cost $22,000 and I really need it done ASAP because of carbon monoxide. After he left he called and said he will do for $17,000. I had two other licensed **** independent companies come out and both said my furnace was in perfect condition and there was no reason to replace. They both said because Sila Heating employees work on commission they try to jack up all services .Absolutely a scamReview fromBennett M

1 starGot an appointment for next day service for an urgent issue. Late in the day they text me to say they cannot make it until next week. Not a happy customer. Unreliable, do not honor their commitments/appointments.Review fromCat C

1 starTheir service has gone downhill since I started using them in 2017. I used to use them for everything and were solid. They used to give me a 4 hour time window and now they schedule me 1+ month out and refuse to give any time window narrower than 8am-5pm, which is ridiculous. They also keep sticking their stickers all over my equipment without asking for permission which is annoying. After my maintenance plan with them expires I switch all my properties to be serviced by a local tech who gives me 1 hour time windows for service appointments.Review fromLeonid Z

1 starAbsolutely unacceptable customer service. I scheduled an appointment with Sila a month in advance and was given a ridiculous time window from 8 AM to 5 PM, essentially requiring my wife to waste an entire day off work. By 2:30 PM, I got a call informing me that the technician wouldnt show up because they had more important customers. Not only is that incredibly disrespectful, but they also promised to call back to reschedule and never did. We lost an entire month waiting for this appointment, and my wife lost a day of work for nothing. How this company gets five-star reviews is beyond memy experience was downright awful.Review fromMike B

Terrible company, think twice! Our ********** Mini split was blowing warm air and not cooling. Called ****, tech arrived, charged $90.00 and I was told that the problem is a bad "line-set" and that it was on a recall by **********. Tech ended service with "it'll be $5,000.00+ to repair/replace the line set and $23,000.00 to replace the system. Hearing the recall statement I called ********** (the system is still under warranty) and was told there are no recall's for a line-set and 2., that I might want to think about contacting another company. Called another company, tech came and did a "nitrogen test" and found the line-set was fine and not defective. Tech said all you need is a system "charge (freon-refrigerant) which he did, and the system is running just fine! I have not received a bill yet but it's in the $300.00 range. Anyway, **** followed up with a salesman coming to our house, pushing to sign up for the new system. Told him what happened, the other company coming, system running, etc., crickets! Long story short, this is a scam, a scheme, whatever you want to call it. I can only imagine how many others have paid **** for repairs they didn't need or worse, bought a new system! I may contemplate a class-action but that's another story. I'd be curious to find out exactly how many others got led down the same road. Crooks is the only word that comes to mind. Sad to say, but think twice before you spend your hard earned money with this company and get a 2nd opinion!!Sila Heating Cooling Plumbing Electrical

****************** day. I just tried giving you a call at ************** but I cant seem to get through. I am reaching out regarding the recent HVAC service visit for your home in ****** on June 13th, 2024. It seems that there was a miscommunication during our visit. It is correct that there isnt any lawsuit against ********** because the recall/lawsuit was on the line set portion, which was manufactured by PDM, not **********. Our technician should have been more specific on the details of the recall/lawsuit. I have attached a letter from 2020 referencing the recall/lawsuit on the line set from PDM. In response to the other companys solution, if a system needed to be recharged, there is a possibility that the system has a leak. It wont be a guaranteed long-term solution and depending on how much the system is used, it will get to a certain point of needing to be recharged again either weeks or months later. I can assure you that our companys practice is not to deceive our customers in any shape or form. Our company is up to date with the industry and have outstanding relationship with the vendors and manufacturers we work with that is why we are aware of the recall/lawsuit from PDM. I understand your position if you have lost trust in us and will not provide us with another chance, so for the sake of customer service, since you were not entirely satisfied with our service and to move forward positively, I can process a refund of the $90 you provided on June 13th in exchange for taking down the negative review on BBB. Hoping to hear from you.Review fromDennis N

A manager reached out to the customer after he expressed a complaint on the pricing for a recent **** Service Visit. The customer started the conversation on the phone praising the quick scheduling of the service provided, knowledge and expertise of our ****, etc. Then, he complained about our pricing for a capacitor that our **** technician diagnosed to be replaced. The customer approve the replacement of the capacitor. Our **** technician went ahead to do the work and left with the **** system operating without any issues. Our manager explained that our company doesn't sell parts, we sell service that is why we have a flat rate for our work. It was also explained to the customer that in order to run a business that he was impressed with, it will require a competitive mark-up/pricing in order to have the right licensing, insurance, employees, expertise, infrastructure, etc. The customer still did not either like or understand the logic and still complained about the price he did approve. For the sake of customer service, our manager offered a $100 refund for customer satisfaction since he's also a first time customer but he declined with "I don't need the money, it seems like you need it more". Our company reached out to him regarding his complaint as soon as possible. Provided the logical reasoning on his complaint. And, offered a resolution. However, the customer was unagreeable to anything.Sila Heating Cooling Plumbing Electrical

1 starJust received a VM that my appointment to have annual service on my 2 AC units that I made over 4 weeks ago is cancelled because they are too busy with repairs. They did the same exact thing last year. They cancelled the day before. Now I've lost 4 weeks and must start over in the busy season to find a "reputable" company. I should have learned from past mistake calling them again. Hopefully someone will benefit from my mistake of calling **** HVAC.Review fromLinda P.

1 starAbsolute waste of 200 dollars to have some 18 year old kid come to my home and spend 3 hours there on the phone with another technician. At the end he couldnt figure out the problem and called the furance manufacturer who told him it could need new parts. The tech gave me a bill for **** dollars to come back and install the parts. He didnt even diagnose the problem. There must be no training for employees. Absolute trash and I would never ever recommend **** to a friendReview fromSheryl F.

1 starI would give no stars if I could. RUN from this company as fast as you can.**** installed our high velocity system around 16 years ago! Last week it stopped working. They came out and instead of diagnosing he just stated we needed a an entire new system at an exorbitant price! I made a few phone calls and we had a sheet metal worker come out to look at it within 5 mintes he determined it just needed a filter replacement ad the water in the pan in the attic needed to be emptied! Some difference from an entire new system! If I did need a new system it would have cost 1/2 the price they quoted - BUYER BEWARE
