I had a biopsy done and received the results by telephone that it was malignant melanoma. I would think that reasonable practice would be to schedule an appointment with the patient to go over the results. I was given only a phone number to call which I did and it became worse they told me there is no spot in the schedule at all for me and they would call me back what happened to UMass goal of compassionate care and patient care. 0 stars given.Dony bother with patient advocate when you call there it's a complete disaster they told me to advocate myself for care it's disgusting

Do not go to this hospital. Avoid like the plague. My mother in law has been waiting over 24 hours to be seen in the ER Nurses and staff do not work hard. They do not provide you with any updates when asked. You are near the top of the list is always the response. A pathetic excuse of a hospital.

They treat patients like inmates for no reason at all. I was walking in to main hospital building for my transplant follow up after leaving my diabetes appointment and the information booth boy th out it would be a good idea to single me out and gesture me to come to him simply because I had in my hand a smal two inch by two inch box containing my new glucose monitor my diabetes dr had just given to me. Then the information booth tough guy snatches it out of my hand to investigate it before we exchanged words about him thinking hes anything more than a retired, bored and angry information booth boy. Just rediculous and Umass lost another patient because of the way they literally treat EVERYONE as if theyve done something wrong. What a dump!

Do not go here. I arrived here with my child at 830am here and it's 1:35 in the afternoon. Apparently children that have trouble breathing because of their tonsils is not an emergency. Save yourself the time and headache, don't go here. You would think it's so they can make more money off parking at this point. I hope someone sues if something happens in this waiting room. You can prove medical negligence here. If your child is sick or injured and their injury is worse from not being seen, sue them.
