      If you are disabled and interested in this gym, I would warn you to avoid the general manager Dave ********. He lacked any empathy whatsoever, was condescending, rude and made me feel super uncomfortable. Left crying and luckily got a hold of the regional manager Maria from calling the *** **** location, who was much kinder and able to assist me in a pleasant fashion. And she offered to meet with me to show me around. He would not give me Maria's info--I found her on ******** and we spoke from there. Sent an email to her and COO and I highly recommend you do the same if this happens to you. We are currently considering taking legal action against the gym.

      We wanted to resume swimming for my 9-year-old son with down syndrome and have been working with the swim director. After waiting for 5 months, I escalated the issue with the higher ups at Merritt only to be told that the delay was due to my son's behavior pre-pandemic. I have two issues here. One this was the first time I was hearing about this behavior issues. I have never seen it myself nor I have been informed of this in the past. Secondly, how can they hold against him now, something that they think happened 3 years back.

      The swim department at this location poorly managed and totally unprofessional. Their handling of the situation clearly show discrimination against a child with special needs.

      As per your conversation with our Regional Aquatics director, we currently do not have a qualified swim instructor to work with your son based off of the issues that were reported to our club aquatics manager from past instructors. If we are able to find and hire a qualitied instructor we will notify you.
