    This plumber was sent to my house by ********************, my home warranty company to fix a stoppage that was causing water to back up in my shower. We had no problem flushing the toilet, only with running water in my sinks and shower. After calling me to tell me he would be at my house around 1:30-2pm, he finally showed up after 4pm. When he came in he used a plumbers snake to unclog the pipe, then unscrewed another joint and snaked some more. When he put the second joint back together it was leaking( there was no leak beforehand, just a clog). He proceeded to run the water/ flush the toilet to test the stoppage. When he would do so water would pour from the pipe, causing a mess all over the stove under the pipe and the floor. He then told me there must be a blockage beyond his reach and that i would have to call my warranty company and they would have to send Roto Router and he quickly packed up and left, leaving me with a leaking pipe, no shower , sinks and now unable to use my toilet. I called my warranty company to tell them what he said and was told that that kind of stoppage was not covered and it would have to come out of pocket. I was forced to call and emergency plumber, after hours because he left me with a toilet I couldn't use. The emergency plumber came in and said the first thing he needed to fix was the leak before he could check for the extra stoppage. I was ask why Rutherfords plumber didn't fix the leak and I explained that it wasn't leaking until after he snaked the pipe. The emergency plumber unscrewed the damaged "nipple" and said, "well no wonder it's leaking, his(Rutherford's )snake busted a piece of the threads of the "nipple". He then replaced the nipple and piece of pipe and ran water from my sinks, shower and flushed the toilet repeatedly. There was NO EXTRA BLOCKAGE! After he fixed the leak everything was fine. The leak they caused would have been covered under my warranty, but instead I paid almost $500 for and after hours emergency .
