1 starThey allow vendors to remove your honest customer experience reviews and then take months to respond to you to overturn the reviews. They are a SCAM and you CANNOT rely on any vendor's reviews on THE KNOT or WEDDING WIRE. I have had a vendor remove my review multiple times over months even though I have MY INVOICE as proof that I paid them. IT IS A SCAM to falsify one's public image and to allow vendors to pick and choose which reviews remain on their page!!!!! Review suppression is a violation of consumer rights per FTC!!!!!!!!!Review fromAmanda K.

1 starHorrible experience. ***** a vendor through weddingwire. Didnt have a great experience so I left a review. It wasnt too harsh and I left the vendor 3 stars. The review was disputed. ** sent me an email to prove my review was legitimate. I either needed a signed contract or proof I paid for the services. I sent them at least 10 pages of money being exchanged and all communication to show. The vendor didnt even dispute that she wasnt hired. Only disagreed that she wasnt rude, etc. My review was STILL taken down. I even called and talked to someone, nothing. They cant explain why my proof wasnt good enough. **************. Dont trust anyone that allows vendors to pay to have reviews removed! ****** learned.Review fromJason A

1 starI had a frustrating experience with WeddingWire/The Knot (The Wedding Pro). Customer support was unhelpful, and their rigid, deceptive practices hurt my small business. I spent $8,000 on an annual contract, expecting bookings based on their promises. I got just one elopement and two weddingsfar from covering costs, leaving me with no profit after ads. Theres no way to track ROI, and youre locked in.Adjusting or canceling is a ordeal. You cant do it onlineonly through an account specialist focused on retention. Changes must be requested over five days before billing, a detail hidden in fine print. I emailed just before this cutoff to adjust my plan, faced a 40-minute retention call, and was told cancellation wasnt possible. They offered an adjustment, but sent a year-long bottom tier contract despite discussing month-to-month. I flagged this via email, but got no reply until after a $689 charge hit. A later call claimed the year contract was month-to-month, unclear until then. I didnt sign due to this confusion, yet they insisted Id been **************** showed no empathy, treating me like a number. Their inflexibility cost my business while they profited. The Wedding Pro dominates the market but prioritizes their gain over vendors. I urge photographers to seek promotion elsewheremy experience was a financial loss.Review fromTaylor B

1 starWe used The Knot Worldwide in ************************************************* the Custom Stationery space. Each week we would receive a varying number of "inquiries" that came through the site. At first we considered the traffic good and thought that The Knot had our best interests at heart feeding us high value leads. But as time progressed, we started to realize a trend. The Inquiries became more and more similar and would regularly only include an account with only a first name, a generic email address, and no accurate information about their wedding. Even the wedding dates became illogical including dates from months in the past or dates that would be a week away. Overall, we ended up with 3 paying clients out of over 150+ inquiries in one year. We paid $5,500 for our first year and did not renew. We had to fight with them in the last month of our contract to cancel the contact and make sure they were not going to continue our contact for another year. We do not recommend you do business with The Knot or Wedding Wire.Review fromJadyn P

1 starI have been waiting on my order for over a month. Nobody has sent an update. A real agent has not contacted me. I have sent multiple emails, there has been no responses. I will never use this company again. I wish I wouldve read the reviews before I bought the product.Review fromLauren W

1 starThis summer (2024) we entered into a contract with The Knot/Wedding Wire. We are a medical practice offering weight loss/self care/IV therapy services and the only way they could categorize us was under "makeup/beauty," but I was assured this would still result in significant leads. I keep track of our response time, which is within the recommended window, and 100% of our leads have resulted in no business. I have contacted The Knot, have had ONE complementary meeting for improving our "storefront" and now the closest point to a lead was a scammer who tried to book his "four daughters" for IV therapy, but was ultimately trying to commit fraud. When we were originally sold on their marketing services, we were promised at least a 6-10% turnover rate. I have spent time and money tracking and responding to these leads, that have resulted in absolutely nothing. Signing up with the Knot was ultimately agreeing to set $250 on fire every month. Worst marketing decision our business has experienced so far.Review fromAdam D

1 starWe are one of the premiere wedding bands in our area, and we decided to sign up for wedding wire. Its been about 7 months, and about 95% of all leads we have received through WW are a scam or spam. We receive leads that reach out with canned messaging asking if were available on x date, then theyll reach out again with the same messaging asking if were available on a different date. We recently received a lead that asked if we can play for their wedding, then asked for our phone number. I called them, and the person had a thick accent with a California area code. Were based in **, but my cell # area code is VA. The person then said he needs us to play for his 5th wedding anniversary, and his wife is in the hospital. I went along with it, and asked where the venue is located. He texted me a VA residential address while I was on the phone, and I told him we are based in **. He apologized and said he sent the wrong address by mistake. I stopped him and said I know this is a scam and he abruptly hung up. I have the convo recorded. This is just a sample of our experience with WW. We book about 15 weddings a year, and that trend has continued, though all of our biz still comes through our other channels. It would be better if we received no leads instead of almost all scam/spam leads. Its a waste of our time, and costs about $350/month. They will not let us out of our contract, and we are looking into legal action. They have an F rating on BBB, and I totally understand why. I believe this is consumer fraud, and they are scamming small businesses out of their hard earned money.Review fromLexi J

1 starI got legitimate leads from wedding pro. It helped me start my business. That being said, I would not recommend this to prospective wedding photographers, and here is why: the interface is nearly impossible to use and the app never works. There are CONSTANT technical difficulties. You cannot get ahold of the so called "help" team. I have sent emails that have gone unanswered. I wanted to change my business name, and I never received a response, so I emailed again. Two weeks later I was told I have to submit a request with a website and email address bearing the name change. They are VERY predatory; there is no trial period. If you join and you are unhappy with the service, you are locked in to the price you agreed upon for full year. Even considering the app doesn't work and the website has a lot of issues. I wrote and told them I had unexpected medical costs come up and it was no longer in my budget to keep my account, and they still would not budge on the monthly price, or help me out in any way. At the end of the year which you are locked into, it auto renews with a new contract, and a new price without warning or **************** NOT ADVERTISE ON WEDDINGWIRE-KNOT. You are better off creating a website and paying for search optimization on ******.Review fromSkyler S

1 starBiggest scam I've seen in the wedding industry. There's no value for an entertainment business with fake leads and promises.Review fromLA P

1 starThis was the WORST business mistake I made. I signed up for the Knot thinking it would generate leads and business for my event planning business. Instead, they drove my business into the ground with their high monthly charges and terrible customer service. I spoke to (2) two different customer service **** and was ASSURED that I could cancel my contract at ANY TIME. I tried to cancel my contract after paying for two months - two months with (0) ZERO credible leads (any "lead" turned out to spam or bots). I sent several emails, called and spoke with different ****, and spoke with my account manager - all to be told that I signed a contract that would last for (12) months and there was "nothing we can do about it". I asked to speak to supervisors and was told that wasn't an option. I was told that "our representatives are trained and they do not lie" and "our representatives would never say that you can cancel at any time". I would not recommend their service to anyone and can't believe they operate this way. Their sales **** and account managers blatantly lie and do not care that they are charging you when you can no longer afford it.
