  On February 20, 2022 I visited Carmen's Bridal Rental shop in Columbia, MD to rent a bridal gown for my wedding in September 2022. During my appointment, I was allowed to try on one sample gown from eve of milady. I asked if I could come back the following day or during the week to decide and Carmen advised myself and my cousin that in order for me to get a new gown from Eve of Milady in time for my wedding date, I had to order it that day due to Eve of Milady's processing time. She took my measurements and confirmed that she was going to be contacting eve of milady same day to place an order for my new dress for me to rent for one week and it would be designed to fit my measurements. After leaving her shop and paying the fee of about $1300, I contacted the Carmen the same day asking for the style number of the dress to get more pictures from the designer eve of milady. She gave me the style number of *********. I emailed eve of milady that day from their website with the details she gave me. They emailed me back the next day and told me to not order this gown as they do not make the gown anymore and that the retailer Carmen is not a retailer of theirs and to not give her any money. I contacted them by phone and was told there is NO request from Carmen's shop, she is not a retailer and that dress is not made anymore. I followed up with Carmen and showed her screenshots and asked for my money back because she lied about ordering me a new dress. She has not been able to provide documentation to confirm that a new dress was ordered. Based on her reviews, she is going to attempt to give me the sample dress that I tried on but did NOT order. That dress is not what I paid for nor ordered in my contract as it is not new. In her texts, she confirms the dress is supposed to be ordered new with my measurements. The eve of milady designer contact Judie U. advises me that I was scammed and to sue this business. I want my money back because this is breach of contract.

We have already resolved her dispute with her bank Ally; where she claimed that these were fraudulent charges and she not having of any knowledge of this day or transaction. Her bank declared that since her signature was on the contract as well as prove of txt messages. She was not taken advantage or there was any fraudulent activity from our business. She was promised a original designer label gown from Eve of Milady and that is exactly what we have ordered and ready to deliver. We cannot divulge our sources since that business confidentiality. We understand that Miss ********** is expecting and wedding planning can be rather flustering. We reassured her that in 37 plus years in this business and multiple reviews on Weddingwire our actions speak louder and clear. I advised Carmen in the beginning stages that I was filing a dispute with our bank. Since the beginning, I have not stated I did not accept this charge or make the charge. She is missing the point. I filed a dispute because I feel that I am being scammed. My bank advised me that I may have to file a lawsuit rather than a fraud claim against her business since there is an existing relationship. My dress has still not been ordered as advised from the designer AND Carmen refused to show documentation that my dress has been ordered. I want what I paid for that she also agreed to order. A brand new custom Eve of Milady dress that is a specific style number. The Eve of Milady designer has stated that dress is no longer made. No designer can make an eve of milady dress besides the actual Eve of Milady designer. I have had several other client's of Carmen's reach out to me for help from my online review advising that they were also scammed and we are assisting each other to get our money back from the scammer. I will not stop until I receive my funds back. And I will help other women from shopping with Carmen to prevent her from scamming other couple's as well. Her reviews do speak loud and clear because there are tons of reviews stating that they have been scammed out of their money. I refuse to wait until my wedding day to find out something I know is going to happen anyway.
