On Tuesday September 27, 2022 I took my car(Hyundai Sonata 2012) to five Star Transmission. I had an issued with the shift gear (it was lock) . I drop off my car around 8 AM. I spoke with mechanic and I told him what it was wrong with the shift gear. He said that is an easy fix. So, I also asked him to check everything on the car. My car is 10 years old. It was running fine. But I wanted a general check to make sure everything is fine. He told me to come back after work. I went back to get my car at 4:30 PM. He said everything is good ! oil is good ! He also said, you don't need to pay anything. It was an easy fix. I asked him "what about your time checking on the car? He said. Car is totally fine! well, I insisted to pay and he said No. I left the parking lot of the shop and I felt my car weird. I drove 1/2 mile and it was impossible to drive my car. My car broke down. My boyfriend was following me and I use his car to pick the mechanic up to check on the car. The mechanic said you did not have oil, the engine is done, you can buy a new engine or buy a new car". The mechanic's son brought oil and he drove the car back to shop. On September 29, 2022 My boyfriend and I went to talk to the mechanic because we need an explanation about what happened to the car when we were told everything is good and oil is good. He ignored us. He took a call and stop talking to us. My car was worth $4000. Today my car as junk is value in $800.00. I have to get a new car and make car payments because this place is so unprofessional and a terrible place. I am not in the position to afford a new car. They lied to me about the conditions of the car. I could have a terrible accident. This a financial problem for me.
