      I did not consent to an annual subscription In 2023, I signed up for a one-time 5-day Creator U "challenge" — it was $49 for access to a series of online courses on how to use AI to create online courses. I didn't much like the courses because they seemed to be a hyped-up advertisement for SamCart. So, I quit using the platform after logging in a few times. A year later, I was charged $144 for an annual subscription to SamCart, which I had no knowledge of signing up for. From what I've read, this has happened to a lot of other people too. Nothing on the Creator U sales page says there will be a recurring charge. The checkout page doesn't mention a recurring subscription. And, the Terms & Conditions cited on the checkout page are just general terms for SamCart products — on this page, recurring subscriptions are mentioned, but just as a general statement. This led me to believe When I reached out to request a refund and account cancellation, Koko from SamCart support offered a partial refund and to "set my account for cancellation" next year. Koko later offered a full refund, but only if I agreed to cancel the PayPal dispute. PayPal advises that you never cancel a dispute until it is resolved, plus I didn't feel right about letting SamCart off the hook and giving them a chance to do this to other people.       I see I’m not the only one to get scammed for $144 because of this greedy, unethical CreatorU company that bills as SamCart. I do not recall signing up and have never used their service. The unexpected charge was initially identified as fraud, however after finding the SamCart BBB reviews I searched my email and found out that CreatorU had emailed me about the apparent subscription that I do not recall signing up for and have never used. I wrote back requesting a refund, and they mocked me by refusing to refund me and giving me extended access to the service that I neither need nor want. I have replied demanding a refund, as the charge has put my account into overdraft which I cannot cover because I am homeless, unemployed and struggling to survive.

      I purchased their creator course in February 2023 and, due to some personal issues, did not take part, so I purchased it again in August 2023. In August of 2023, I also purchased additional products totaling $300. In Feb 2024 I was charged a renewal, which was not warranted since it had not been a year since August. My renewal fee was refunded, and then they deactivated my access. When I contacted them, I was told, "That offer is for new customers only, and I should not have purchased the one in August. This information is not easily accessible. Since I purchased it twice, they were going off the original date, in February, and deactivated all access. When I asked them about the ADDITIONAL products I bought for $300, I was told that in order to access them, I needed an active subscription....which is what I thought I would have until at least August of 2024. At the point of occurrence, I had access to these items for 6 months. I have been trying to get them to do the right thing; however, it doesn't appear that they have ethical bone at the core of this "business." STAY AWAY. Do not purchase ANY extras unless you're willing to shell out monthly or yearly to maintain access to materials you rightfully bought. All of the information can be found for free on the internet anyway, and there are other avenues that can provide the "assets" they do. Heed the warning of myself and so many others, STAY AWAY from this company.

      Cannot get a hold of anyone to cancel. It's a bogus company and take your money. I cannot login to cancel CreatorU and I cannot find to cancel Samcart.

      I was charged through ****** 144.00 from SamCart. I didn't know what SamCart was and had to look on the internet. ****** will not refund me until SamCart answers by 9/15/23. However, I have emailed and called SamCart with no answers. I am at a very low income due to my daughter in law dying at age 29 and I am raising her 4 year old child on my own and SamCart wants to fraud me? Isn't this against the law? I want my money refunded through ****** SamCart. I am sure you make a lot of money frauding others but I won't stand for it. This time you have taken money from a grieving family who needs support right now. Please refund quickly as I am bouncing my electric bill and water bill. You do not realize how what you do affects people.

      They falsely advertise a price lock commitment. I bought into the membership in May with the stipulation that purchasing within a specific window of time would guarantee my rate will stay the same, even when others, who did not buy during that promotion, will have to increase their membership fees each year. By August, I received notice that at the time of renewal, my rate would increase by $550. They are refusing to honor their commitment and promise that made me buy into it. This is illegal and I hope someone files a class action lawsuit.

      My experience is literally the same as *******: I clicked an ad that told me about a $10 sale and extra charges for items were added to my cart. One was $197 and another charge for $97 in addition to the $10 charge (I expected the $10 charge) but they automatically signed me up for a subscription-trying to take even more money from me that I did not authorize. SamCart has not answered emails asking for a refund.

      On 7/27/23 I followed a ******** ad that told me about the great $10 deal that Samcart (Brian M**** is the contact) is running. Little did I know that extra charges for items I did not subscribe to were added to my cart (they didn't show up-nor did any additional pricing) Not only was a charged $197 and another charge for $97 in addition to the $10 charge (I expected the $10 charge) but they automatically signed me up for a subscription-trying to take even more money from me that I did not authorize. SamCart has been unresponsive to my email complaint-and seems to only care about the money that they can collect. I'll be sending this info to my friends who have website businesses as well, as I don't want to see other people get taken advantage of from this company like I was. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.
