1 starI was a happy customer of **************************************************** for a yr, I even posted positive reviews about the **************** until I had my 1st yearly termite inspection. The tech stepped out of his truck pushing a more expensive product & after his inspection I invited him in as I agreed to provide the tech time to go over his analysis, instead I got an AGGRESSIVE man who WOULDNT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER when I wouldnt upgrade my service. I asked him numerous times to leave my house when he persisted to demand an answer for why I would not upgrade, but instead of comprehending he had gone too far he said he was allowed to be in my home as I agreed I to the time for him to speak. He also told me there's a new law where "the underwriters" may not guarantee the coverage I already paid for should I get an **************** couldn't leave until I provided an explanation to the underwriters for refusing to upgrade. The aftermath of dealing with the manager was equally disdainful. STAY AWAY, if they hire and retain even one person to come into your home and make you feel threatened while the manager is condescending and apathetic to the occurrence, then they will turn an eye to any incident and leave their customers reeling.Review fromJulie R

1 starTHIS COMPANY DESERVES ZERO STARS. THEY THINK NOTHING OF LYING AND RIPPING INNOCENT PEOPLE OFF. I HIRED THEM FOR A MOUSE PROBLEM I COULD NOT DEAL WITH SINCE I HAD JUST FOUND OUT I HAD STAGE III CANCER AND NEEDED TO COUNT ON THEM. I SIGNED A YEAR CONTRACT IN APRIL, BUT THEY CAME FOR ONLY 3 MONTHS (APRIL, MAY & JUNE). I THEN HAD NO SERVICE WHILE BEING CHARGED MONTHLY THROUGH NOVEMBER. THE MANAGER WHO LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING KEPT INSISTING I HAD SERVICES I NEVER HAD AND REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME THE $450 THEY OWE ME. EVEN WHEN I FILED A DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY, HE LIED AGAIN AND REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME. THEY ARE SO UNETHICAL THEY THOUGHT NOTHING OF RIPPING OFF A DISABLED ELDER FIGHTING CANCER WHILE DOING THEIR JOB AND PAYING THEM! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! 5 starsHired Senate last year to keep ants out of my kitchen addition. Was using peppermint oil previously to try to keep them out, since I have cats. Oil worked ok for a while, but **** began learning how to skirt around where I sprayed. Decided to hire Senate, and they have done a good job keep the ants outside. Have only had one time they got in last year, after a very heavy rainstorm (probably flooded their tunnels). Would definitely recommend using them, and the price is reasonable.Review fromJebas A

2 starsI asked Senate Termite &Pest Control Manassas VA company to treat my house for house Pest. A guy came to my house and said it will cost $400. Also he said that after that first visit if the technician come again for service, the company will charge $40 for each visit.. I asked what kind of bait he will use to get ride of all the pest I have in my house. He simply said that it is very good and I will see when the technician comes to treat my house. I again asked him that are you not going to spray or do something today. Again he said he will not be the one doing the treatment, but he came to see the problem that I have in my house. The Pest Control guy never said that he is signing me to a year contract. He also never told me that I will be charged $40 every single month regardless how many times the company comes to treat my house. The second visit a guy came from the company and placed small black box in all the rooms and placed some hard green color bait inside of the black box. The Pest problem did not stop. So, I called STPC and told them about my dissatisfaction. Third visit was scheduled and a guy from STPC came and checked all the boxes and he said that he didn't have greasy type of bait that the household Pest like to eat. He also said that he came from Virginia office, and he don't have it. Since STPC send me a link to do a survey. I aske that my money back. The problem did remain even after the 3rd visit. Another guy called me from the company and said that he will send the Supervisor I told him that I care less even if he send the owner of STPC. If you cannot solve my problem I want my money back. 4th visit Carlose came, and he said that he is the Manager of STPC. Carlose did a good job. The 2nd visit guy should have done what the 4th visit guy (Carlose) did. Today I called STPC to cancel my services with STPC because I was never told about the yearly contract and the monthly service charge. I am upset the STPC not trustworthy.Review fromAnais S

I've been trying to contact them for almost a month now, and there hasn't been a single response until today. Their customer service is terrible, with hang-ups, relentless calls, and zero follow-throughs on my account after I asked to have them note I am waiting for the manager. 1 starTerrible company- Not a company you can trust-avoid getting any service done by them. I was mislead to believe I had termite damage and I was also billed for a service which was Never done as I was ONLY billed by e mail as nobody actually came to the house to perform service. I was told that I would continue to have the same person perform my services but that was Not true. My guy always left the invoice in the door after completed service and explained what was done if I was home as they are supposed to do as any legitimate company would do. My last service was done-according to the bill by e-mail by someone else-they claim. I was home all day and nobody ever knocked or rang the doorbell. I was also charged on my credit card which I never gave them permission to use a second time .As I recall it is Not legal to keep numbers of cards on file with any company-unless given permission in advance to do so.Review fromKelli K

1 starI'd choose zero stars but the BBB site doesn't allow for zero. I'd recommend people save themselves the headache and choose another company. Looks like several other people have filed complaints about Senate through the BBB website. I’ve had multiple issues with Senate. The call center people at the company were very nice, but the owner of the company was extremely unethical and unprofessional when he came to my house. I paid Senate over $11,000 for them to do insulation & there were some issues going on with the crawlspace insulation job that I wanted someone to take a second look at. John (the owner of the company) made it clear that he did not like that I wanted these issues to simply be looked at after the job had already been completed. The moment he arrived at my house he was rude and unprofessional. When I was trying to explain my concerns about the crawlspace he literally said, “It’s not even your money that’s paying for this. It’s your mom’s money”. (I admit my mother gave me some cash for a small portion of the services as a birthday gift, but the contract has always been in my name and all fees have always been deducted from my bank account). No one at Senate has ever had any interaction with my mother as she lives out of state, but I made the mistake of telling one of the reps about my mother’s birthday gift. I got the feeling that John’s intent from the very beginning of his arrival was to be so incredibly confrontational and rude that I’d volunteer to cancel my own contract (which I did). Pretty sure he wanted me to cancel my contract because a few weeks ago, I had to threaten to take Senate to court over a totally separate issue that wasn’t related to the crawlspace issue. Fortunately, I would have had to cancel my contract any way due to having to move soon (military family). This issue has progressed from being a problem related to services to an issue about speaking to customers in an extremely disrespectful manner.
