Terrible company, very sad they say the support veterans! I had a contract with them and after 2 years I relocated across the country. I called to disconnect my service and they said I would need a copy of my transfer papers. I sent those in and was still charged the following month. I called, they said they received the paperwork but now needed a copy of the sale of my house and my orders because now they didn’t have my orders on file! At the time my house did not sell. After four months I was able to rent my house but the tenant did not want an alarm system. I again called to cancel. They said they would but I owed $500 for the next five months. I said I’m stopping service and should not have to pay for something I did not have. The refused. Another payment came out of my account so I changed back information as that was the only way to stop them from debting my account. I now received a letter from a collection attorney with legal mumble jumbo. DO NOT recommend this company at all! Looking back I was pressured by the salesman to get the alarm and sign the contract—-I guarantee you I will not sign another contract again so quickly!!

    Dynamark Security Systems LLC Response

We acquired this account from another company in October 2020. The agreement was for 36 months and unfortunately does not fall under the Service Member Civil Relief Act. An alarm contract does not fall under the definition of an installment contract defined within the SCRA. As such, the SCRA does not provide the ability to terminate the contract. Dynamark is proud to serve our military personnel and their families. We applaud the commitment and sacrifice your families make every day. We understand that military transfers occur, and we do our best to help. We provided this customer with a few options: they could have moved the system to the new location, had the renters take over the security system and continue the monitoring, or if transfer papers and proof of sale were provided, they would be released from the agreement. Unfortunately, none of these options worked so the balance of the agreement would be due. We have called this customer several times since the initial cancellation request with no response. Please give us a call, we are happy to help in any way we can

First, I don’t believe it is entirely true that you acquired this account from another company. I signed with Dynamark. If you did acquire my access from another company why was I not notified??

I sent my PCS orders in as requested, when I spoke with customer service the first time they were on file; the second time I called to cancel I was told my PCS orders were not received and in addition to the orders I now needed to show proof I sold my house (which was never mentioned previously).  When I told the representative I did not sell my house they responded with well we can’t discontinue service then. After four months I was able to rent my house.  Again I called and asked to disconnect service and again I was told Dynamark would not do so.  I asked the renter if they wanted to continue the system and they did not wish to keep it active. I explained to Dynamark’s “customer service rep”,  Louie I could not transfer the service because I am renting a house and I could not install a system.

I called to have the equipment removed and was told Dynamark does not remove the equipment but they could stop the activation—which did happen.

There is equipment currently installed on my Colorado house that does not work and has not worked for several months.

I have made good faith efforts to work with Dynamark however the only thing they are concerned about is charging me for services that are inactive.

With all of the military personnel in Colorado and Northern VA you think they would be more understanding.  Military moves happen every two-three years and is difficult on families and then to add unnecessary complications such as this really puts a stress on the family. I will certainly make sure my experience is shared with my network of active, retired, and disabled military personnel as well as my Gold Star family.

On March 22, I spoke to Patricia at Dynamark Monitoring. I told her I wanted to close the account. We never use it She said there was someone she wanted me to speak to. She wrote up a ticket. I was told someone would call me back.

No one called back. On March 24th, I called in and spoke to Patricia to Dynamark Monitoring. I mentioned that I wanted to close the account. I explained we never use the system.

She said Louie had called me the day before. I told her that he did not. Eventually, Louie took the call..

He asked why I was dissatisfied with the service. He noted that the contract started 12-5-2014.
He offered to lower the rate or provide more equipment. I explained understood his offer. But I explained we just don't use it. I want to close the account.

This call turn ugly. We both agreed that the original contact that was signed for 3 years. I explained to him that we are on a we are month to month. Louie said it automatically renews on an annual basis on the renewal date.

So again he contract started 12-5-2014. He said every year on that date it automatically renews for one year. He said I owe 7 more payments.

I explained I do not. It's a three year contract. It's month to month after that. I wanted to close the account now.

He refused to do that. He would prefer to put in the request to close the account on 12-5-2022 so I can make more seven more payments.

I said I am not accepting those terms. I said I would make arrangements with my bank Wells Fargo to stop the automatic payments.

They are still mailing me bills and not accepting of my service closure. This is unbelievable how they are treating an 8 year customer.
