On May 18, 2022 at approximately 4:00 pm, I called the Indian Head Inn and spoke to the manager's wife. She told me that she only had one room left. I asked her to hold the room for me and that I would be there in an hour. Upon arrival, I asked if I could look at the room first before I paid, and she said no. She said that there was no need to look at the room first and assured me that it was the best room on the lot and she said even though it was a smoking room, it doesn't smell that bad because it had been cleaned thoroughly. So I paid her 68.00 and she gave me the key to the room. I went to the room, took my luggage into the room and I started watching television. While watching tv, I started smelling bad odors. So I went to my car, got a can of spray, and sprayed the room. I figured that it was just some left over cigarette smoke. After the air freshener spray calmed down, I decided I would go to bed. When I laid down, the sheets, blankets, and pillows reeked of bad odors and cigarette smoke. I once again went to my car, got some ******** and sprayed it on the blankets. After an hour or so, I tried to lay down again. I still smelled the bad odors, so I sprayed febreeze again. While waiting for the blanket to dry, I decided to go into the bathroom to take a shower. When I opened the bathroom door, the shower curtain reeked of cigarette smoke, everything was dirty and smelled bad. Once again, I sprayed the bathroom with air freshener and the shower curtain with febreeze. By this time it was really late, so I decided to call the manager in the morning to let him know. I sat up all night and watched tv, I could not sleep. The walls were dirty, splattered and had holes. The microwave had extreme rust inside, so I couldn't use it. At daylight I got dressed, packed my things and at 8:00 am I called the manager's office and told him everything that happened and that I was checking out three hours early. He became irate and yelled at me to just check out.
