Date of transaction: July 25 2022 The amount of money you paid business: $85 What the business committed to provide: Spa services What the nature of the dispute is: Business provided a discount coupon sent via SMS and email. Upon completion of services, I was advised by employee that coupon could not be used. The employee was unable to state the reason for me not being able to use the coupon. Employee called manager to ask if coupon could be used however manager advised, me the paying customer, that I could not use the discount on my entire spa service, regardless of the coupon being sent to me from their business mail chip. I was overcharged for services regardless of discount not being applied. Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem: The business has not tried to resolve the issue.Business response

My nail shop offers 5% discount to only client who signed into our CheckIn software. We did offer the client 5% of the total we charged for the services performed on her. The issue here is that the client brought her daughter with her on that same day for nails service and demanded we also offer 5% discount for her child, which we could not do. In response to the complaint, below is my explanation. my nail shop offers 5% discount to only client who signed into our CheckIn software, in this case, Emily Johnson. We did offer her the 5% of the total we charged for the services performed on her. The issue here is that Emily brought her daughter with her on that same day for nails service and demanded we also offer 5% discount for her child, which we could not do. I am not sure why she even called BBB and complained something that is not logical. Please help us to resolve this issue. This incident happened due to miscommunication since we were on vacation and not at the shop. Since the initial request from the client was a 5% off of the total charges from credit card and to make up the discount, we offer a 10% off on her next service at our nail shop. Please note, the 10% off only applies to her, no one else. Thank you.
