My review is in two parts. The work was started in January 2024. I had RCM Paving replace my 39 year old driveway. The work was excellent, the team was experienced; the work is exceptional and the job was completed in a couple days. I felt the cost for the driveway project was reasonable for the quality of the work. I would recommend anyone needing paving work to consider RCM Paving. I rate this service as 5. The second part of my review involves an associated water diversion project, which I paid separately from the driveway work. The owner, Richard ****, of RCM paving accurately assessed a need to divert the water so that runoff would not negatively impact the driveway or my deck and house. There were 5 major concentrations of water in the back yard that required 5 trenches with dry wells to be divert the water around the house and down to the street. The crew took a couple days to dig trenches using heavy equipment and laid pipe. The crew was then suppose to return level area and put down topsoil. The heavy machinery left my yard unwalkable and various debris was left in the yard. Because of the rainy winter and spring, and more importantly because RCM paving got a lot of other paving projects, my lawn and yard were left in an unsatisfactory condition for 6 months. My rating for this portion of the job would be a 2.5. I finally had a landscaper finish the job. Richard knew I was unhappy and he agreed to reimburse me for half of the cost I paid him for the water diversion project (about twice the cost of the driveway work). I will say Richard was apologetic and my complaint was resolved to my satisfaction. I highly recommend RCM paving for paving projects. However if a water diversion project is needed, I recommend hiring a company that specializes in water diversion; most landscaping companies would make the water diversion project a priority and get the job done in a timely and neater manner.

I contracted RCM Paving to do my drive way, walk way and the road leading to my house, last year summer. The owner, Richard came talking a good game and promising all. 1. After about six month, the drive way cracked in three different locations and rain water collected also on the concrete potion of the drive way. 2. Grasses were growing at the edges of the asphalt drive way also(100yrds). 3. The separated underground water pipe that he got paid extra $250.0 for, was never repaired and is causing considerable damage to the asphalt drive way. He refused to answer my calls of over 100 times in the last 9 months. I left numerous text messages with pictures of damages caused from his sub-par work, all to no avail. He answered my call, two months ago and promised to send his crew to repair and make corrections on his bad work. I've called his severally for two months but he refused to answer his phone. I paid him over $20,000.0 for this shoddy work RCM and Richard did. I will never recommend this contractor for any work. I gave him a star because, you can do this review without leaving a star.

I apologize about your experience with my company. I did respond to your calls and did go out to check your concerns. you did pay $250 for my company to patch the storm sewer pipe but unfortunately there are other issues with that pipe. my company did not install the pipe. your driveway is holding water in certain places because your garage area which determines the start elevation is lower than your surrounding yard. it's the lowest point, the only way to remedy that would be to install a drain which was never discussed and was not in our job scope. my company resurfaced the existing asphalt driveway. we did remove the grass from the original and sprayed round up, unfortunately vegetative growth can not be guaranteed. per our last conversation I did tell you that I would have my crew repair the damaged areas at no charge. I apologize that we are unable to complete this as soon as you would like but we can have repairs completed before end of this season.
