This is a hardship loan I took out when my house burned down in 2020. I defaulted on the loan and the loan was charged off in 2023. For the last year, after the charge off, the vendor has submitted a late payment to the credit bureaus in a punitive attempt to punish me after the debt was written off. My credit can never recover because they submit a new 30 days late at the start of every month.Mariner Finance, LLC Response

Lisa, thank you for your review. At the moment, our online systems do not have that capability and we are presently working on new features. However, all paid documents are mailed out to you to the address on file after a state-specific waiting period. Please call your local servicing branch for those details. I had a situation come up with Mariner finance and still haven't received a response. I had collateral put up for a loan that i opened 3 years ago. Last month the car i had used for collateral needed to to be inspected but it wouldn't start so after towing it to the repair shop come to find out that the computer system in the car was fried. Its a 18 year old car so we decide not to fix it because it could get pricey. I have spoke with Mariner Finance multiple times on how to get the car (collateral) removed from my account so that i can junk the car, but they will not tell me anything. They keep saying we will call you back but nothing. The repair shop will only hold the car for so long. I live in an apartment so I can't store the broken down car here. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE IDIOTS! They kept me on hold for an hour just to be turned down,because my credit score is 630.Once my score gets much better they won't have a chance to beg for my business, because I have blocked them.Screw these fools!Mariner Finance, LLC Response

Mariner Finance is the absolute worst company to do business with! If you are late with one or two payments during the loan period, they waste no time turning your account over to their attorneys office - who in turn turns it over to the court for garnishment of wages. My loan is almost paid off, I am up to date on payments, but they refuse to call off the court proceedings. I suppose they are out for blood after getting caught for shady busines dealings where the court denied their motion to dismiss the case! Mariner Finance employees are not the sharpest tools in the shed. Avoid Mariner Finance at all costs!Mariner Finance, LLC Response
