Company have me with a Charge off on my credit reports with TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian stating that I have or had a delinquent account with them. Asked company for validation of proof. Never received documents. Asked to have account deleted from credit report. Report keeps coming back as verified with no proof. Need company to delete from Credit Report. Copies of loan documents are provided at the time the loan is created and Mariner requires verification of the requestor’s identity prior to providing information pertaining to a loan or loan related documents. You may visit your local Mariner branch with a copy of your government issued photo identification to receive a printed copy of the original loan document, or you may send a copy of your government issued photo identification to Mariner Finance, 8211 Town Center Drive, Nottingham, MD 21236. Upon further review, the account you are referencing has been sold to a third party company for collection in 2022. You may contact Brightwater Capital, LLC at (866) 233-6813 for further information. Furthermore, the request you have submitted to the CFPB has been received and will be responded to in writing.Review from Johnny B

They will never work with you on their buisness side when you borrow money they will try take you to court and show up with the police at your parents house even though you lost your job and already paid 2000$ in interest paymentsMariner Finance, LLC Response

Mariner Finance charges a $2.50 fee when you pay with a bank card, which is fine, however they would not provide a receipt. When I asked for a receipt I was told that they will give me a printout which will show all of my payments. When they gave me the printout it did not list the fee that I paid. The guy was not very customer service friendly. This was the Indian Trail NC location.Mariner Finance, LLC Response

We greatly appreciate your review, ******. The $2.50 fee is a third party processing/convenience fee placed by the third party provider that processes Debit Card payments. It is not a fee placed by Mariner and that is why you do not see the fee on your receipt. You can make payments with no processing/convenience fee by using checking account information (ACH) online or by phone, and you can also mail in your payments to your local branch. We made a payment and tried to make another payment two weeks later and they denied the payment. We called trying to figure out why they cancelled the payment and they said sent the account over to collections and wouldn’t talk to us. So we tried multiple times to get a hold of collections and couldn’t get no answer. Then we tried to make a payment over the phone and the wouldn’t talk to us and told us that I have to talk to their lawyers. Trying to sue us cause they said we was 3 months behind on payments, but we have proof that we was never 3 months behind. Mariner Finance is a fraud and ********* But since we have proof that they lied, we will be getting with our lawyers as well.Mariner Finance, LLC Response

Office manager in the Johnson City, TN location is absolutely terrible as is the rest of the staff there. Sent me to collections and I have paid all payments however they report to my credit monthly that they haven't been paid. Equifax is supposed to be settling this. After a recent complaint of harassment for a loan that I am not on, they stopped. I notified them out of kindness that the motorcycle is at named impound due to an accident where my partner was killed. I even submitted a death certificate. I received a call from the supervisor asking about life insurance and he got nasty after I told him off for being insensitive and offensive. These people are scum.Mariner Finance, LLC Response

Not this location but san antonio texas on cuelebra you are treated nice when you get loan once late you do not get help from them more like threatened to take collateral from you they don't help customers they ask for your payment when it's not even due yet you get charged late fee but still threatened to take your collateral from you I wouldn't go with this finance ever again they suck big time I know alot of finances but this one is not worth it people very rude especially when family member passes they don't give a shi.. they want their money and who cares is how your treated don't go to them promise you will be treated like crapMariner Finance, LLC Response

Never heard of this company until my ex husband signed a loan in my name which is fraud..a check came to the house in my maiden name and he signed it without permission. I have told them this so many times and they still wouldn't listen to me I had to go to office in Jacksonville and signed documents saying I never gave permission for this I had to jump through hoops for them to do nothing..police report was done but nothing this was two years ago and it is still on my credit report showing closed but they are still charging me.. beware of these people they are crooks dishonest and worthless this fraud and identity theft..is there a good lawyer out there to get of My credit report..no wonder they are not affiliated with the BBB cuz they are fake ass greedy **** ..I wouldn't even rate them on nothing if they had a negative I wouldMariner Finance, LLC Response

We have yet to receive this documentation.
