Zero stars really, horrible customer service. They just dont care. I purchased a portable air conditior that was $489 and needed a window kit for it. Called customer service they gave me a ticket number and offered to send the kit, I offered to pay and was told it's covered. 2 weeks go by and nothing, no one returns calls or replies to texts, on Facebook they said it's not a valid ticket number and they would forward my message to customer service, they gave me the same phone number I'd be texting and calling. I'd never buy another product with the black and decker name on it due to the lack of customer service.

I bought a 10k btu air conditioner (BPACT10WT) that is supposed to cool a 450 square foot room, it didn't come close to cooling my 350 square foot room. I tried it in a smaller one that's 120 square-feet. It didn’t cool that either. I have been trying for over a week to contact Black and Decker support, but after navigating a maze of options to get to one where I should be able to speak with a human, I get a busy signal and then the call is disconnected. When I tried opening a warranty claim, the call is transferred to a survey that has nothing to do with the warranty. In addition to calling, I tried filling out a product support form online, however, the form requires a date code that’s supposed to be on the metal prong of the power cord, but there’s nothing on any of the metal prongs. I tried submitting it anyway and it indicated that the model number was invalid. I double-checked it against the number on the unit to be sure it was correct. This product doesn't work remotely as stated and it has been impossible to get help.

If I could give a ZERO, I would. I received two ovens with SPANISH writing. Was told to send the first one back, as it should not have been sold in this country. I ordered a second one from a different retailer: same thing, SPANISH writing. Kimberly at Black and Decker customer service said she would mail me this oven directly from them. Ten days later, I have not received it. I called, and I was told it was never mailed. Apparently she gave this to Miguel for approval. Apparently it was not approved and no-one bothered to tell me. Was just on the phone for another long period of time, only to be transferred twice to the generic recording of a supervisor. Horrible experience. It is hard to believe this is how a company such as this does business. Additionally, today, someone named Jasmine told me they are supposed to come in Spanish. She proceeded to tell me what I was told to do, totally disregarding the reason why I was calling today, and my conversation with Kimberly. I am requesting someone from Black and Decker contact me to discuss this further. I do not want to speak to anyone in general customer service at this point. I am going to also try to contact the corporate office/ Spectrum about this matter. Thank you.

My DeWalt edger has a problem, so I called DeWalt "customer service." It shoud instead be call Dante's Seven Circles of Hell. I call once and I'm told to call another number. I do that and no one will answer (45 minutes on hold). I call back to the main number and I'm transferred to different number, which says it has discontinued. I call back to the main number a third time, and I'm transferred to yet a different number. I've been on hold for almost an hour and I have to go to work. I think I need to file a warranty claim, but NO ONE WILL HELP ME!!!

Dewalt, owned by black and decker, has sold me a defective 60v 15ah battery. It fails to charge and gives a false error on the charger under a 3yr warrantee. I have been getting the run around with the return process and now they tell me they are out of stock. That is funny because I can buy this battery on-line ay numerous vendors. If they can not supply the battery then give me refund so I can buy one myself. I am very loyal to the brand and did not expect to be treated like this. I am glad I am not relying on this battery to run my business, no support. You should not have to wait this long for a replacement. I have been e-mailing back and forth for a month with no answers.

The ****** tool warranty is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and someone should hold them accountable. My battery nail gun has a 3 year "limited" warranty. Limited to "manufacturer defects" and not "normal wear and tear". The motor stopped working on the tool, that I had less than 3 years, so I submitted it for a warranty repair. I was charged $227 for the repair because the motor was determined to be a wear and tear issue and not a defect. When I asked how that was determined I was told, by the ****** service center, that if the gun lasts for more than 1 year then everything is attributed to a " normal wear and tear" issue because a manufacturer defect would show up before 1 year. So they are basically saying the 3 year warranty does not exist. This is criminal in my opinion. Do not trust this company!!

Dewalt, owned by black and decker has sold me a defective 60v 6ah battery. They are requiring me to return to a factory service center that is 5 hours away and does not allow me to ship it to them. The only solution they can offer is that I manually drive it 5 hours for them to honor their 3 year warranty on a product that is less than 6 months old.

This is a dishonest company. I bought a room air conditioner from Black and Decker, that stopped working. They sent me a label to ship it back to them to repair. It took 4 months and they finally said: we cannot repair it: we will SHIP YOU A NEW ONE. I have been calling for 7 MONTHS NOW! It's going to be summer again, and they simply say, we will 'escalate your claim' and you will hear from us this week. IT IS A LIE! They never call and they never send you the replacement product. DO NOT BUY!
