I hired NESF in 2013 to insulate my entire home that I was renovating. Built in ****, I rebuilt everything in the house. Two years ago I discovered that my main floor had sagged over 2 inches and found that all the NEW hemlock joists and main carrying beams had rotted to the point that I can put my fist through the wood. They insulated the floor and encapsulated all ********* and joists causing the rot. The wood was NOT dry (and they knew that) and they didn't use a moisture meter. Even I know you can't completely seal wood that isn't dry. After many phone calls, letters and messages from myself and my attorney, their only response was "it wasn't their fault". They advertise 100% satisfaction and they are insured. I have had estimates done to repair the damage and it is well over $60K. At 76 years old, I can't afford that cost. I have taken measures now to keep the main floor from falling into the cellar but its only a band-aid. And, given the circumstances, this house is now not saleable. I am sure there are folks out there that are pleased with NESF work but I have been absolutely thrown under the bus by this company and would not recommend them for any job, ever again. I have tried to upload photos of the destruction but it won't allow me to post.
