***** ****** is a true craftsman of the old school, who really cares about his finished product. It shows in the finished door, especially when you look closely at the joinery. Instead of paying him to ship it, I drove nearly five hours from the ****** area to ************ to pick up the door myself. Got the opportunity to see his amazing shop, talk to the man himself, swap stories, and get to know him a bit. Though the drive was grueling and ate up a full day, it was worth it. Now, once I hang the door, I'll always think of the man who built it, his shop, and the stories he shared.

We bought a screen door for our porch several years ago, and I have kind thoughts about ***** and Western Maine Screen Door every time I open or close it. So this year i bought one for our back door. The door is up to ******* usual high standards, but (through no fault of his or mine) the transaction became difficult. ***** made a screen door for the front of my house about 4 years ago that is just beautiful. It has held up incredibly well. I have a dog that pushes her way in and out, jumps up against the glass inserts, and the door has been bullet proof. The door has survived high winds, being slammed and all kinds of abuse and it still looks great. The door was one of the best home improvements that I have ever made.I had a cheap pine screen door on the other side of the house that has been falling apart almost since day one. After many DIY repairs, I decided to get another ********** screen door but was surprised at the increase in price for a cheaply made, unfinished pine door. I decided to ask ***** to make me a second door for the back door and am extremely happy. I could never match his work- I think that in the end, this well made good looking door will be more cost effective than buying cheap doors that I'd have to replace every year.Western Maine Screen Door Co Response
