My 16 year old totaled his vehicle yesterday. I rode with him in the ambulance and asked first responders to have any aaa tow company tow it to our home. I was later notified by a deputy at the hospital that a private tow company had the car. I phoned said company All town towing once we were home from the hospital (same day within hours of tow) and asked what we owed. I was told he would take the car title in payment. I said I would contact our insurance company and speak with my husband and the company owner said it was fine to let him know in the morning. He said we would take what we wanted including my sons speakers and the new snow tires as long as we left it with some tires on it when we came. I was not given a total amount owed. I was not told the location of my car. This morning came and after speaking with progressive auto I phoned again asking for the itemized bill and to ask again what we owed. I was told $1247 for a 3 mile tow. A woman had answered the phone but the same man I spoke to last night began yelling and threatening me in the background that he wanted the title and he told me last night that was what he does. She agreed to send an invoice. I explained I just wanted to make the best decision for my child who worked hard for his first vehicle and I didnt understand why I was being treated this way. She responded Im sorry Im not sure but still refused to disclose the business address to me or where the car was located. She did send an invoice for $605 I got off the phone and called Somerset county sheriff asking why they had this aggressive person tow my vehicle and they assured me he was safe. I phoned all time back to ask if we could take photos as I had also heard again from the insurance company asking for photos because they could not reach the tow company. I asked again if they would please tell me where the car was. At this point he threatened to prosecute me if I took anything not on the list out of the car and said he had photos of what is in the car. I have this conversation recorded as I was really concerned with our safety in dealing with this business after the first call. They begrudgingly provided ************* in palmyra as the address. After speaking with the a Penobscot county deputy as the business is in another county I decide to pay the $605 and have another company tow our vehicle home to avoid further charges and let our insurance deal with all time towing. I went to the address provided and into the office and asked to pay the bill. I was told that outfit isnt located here and everyone has problems with him. I attempted to call 2 more times with our decision and to pay the $605 but am being ignored. Im unable to pay via the online invoice they sent, it doesnt load. I have no address and they wont answer the phone but they are still in possession of my vehicle. Price gouging and theft by threatening. Accident victims and their families should NEVER have to go through this.

We're sorry to hear that a free recovery, tow, accident scene clean up and, storage are not enough to satisfy you during your time of loss.  This was an action offered by us to save you from having to pay the tow bill, another addition was we were willing to allow you to remove parts from the car also something that's not generally allowed during a swap of such, as far as AAA standard wording from the local field representative is that they don't cover recovery work , causing this to need to be covered by insurance or the customer. This in the consumers words is a " 3 mile tow " anyone in the industry knows when there is a motor vehicle accident with a roll over there is much more to it than just a tow. Since this day we as a company have heard from 5 different law enforcement agencies all with the same answers. This consumer is someone looking for something for nothing and will continue to achieve such until all avenues have been covered. Lastly we talk to insurance companies each and every day if they wanted to reach us they could, the issue of them not contacting us is due to liability insurance only on the vehicle which does not cover this situation, we would be happy to reach out to the insurance company and make contact if the consumer would provide us with a claim number.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********.

At no point have we asked for anything for free. Since 1/21/24 All I have asked ALL TIME TOWING is for an accurate invoice and a real physical business address. All time towing chose to hide our vehicle and belongings and demand the title plus cash when he has spoken to the police. I have driven to multiple locations to settle this, locations provided by the owner only to be told the business is not located there. I have had to contact multiple police agencies as the business owner has refused to provide a correct location and continues to send me on a wild goose chase over multiple counties. He also no longer answers my phone calls.
The one time we saw the vehicle before it disappeared we were unable to get my sons personal items. I had the requested amount of money in hand and aaa prepared to tow the car home. The address I was given was for ***** towing. All time towing never arrived to take payment but did call AAA to cancel our tow home.  The car disappeared the following day and we have had no contact since.
Personal belongings that are locked in the trunk, to which only all time towing has they keys are as follows: 2 pairs MCI Huskies game football jersies,2 pairs MCI Huskies game football pants,Work boots, Wallet, IDs, debit card, insurance cards and school backpack, asthma inhaler that is ruined at this point from the temperatures.
Nothing was removed from the vehicle as All time towing stated. The car in its entirety and all of my sons belongings are still missing as of 2/26/2024

      Regards,

      Canaan

She is correct they have never asked for anything for free. That was an offer made by us to try to lessen the impact to a struggling economy. When we first spoke that was a great deal. On 1/20/24 Canaan asked us about car seats and was told where the vehicle was located later that day the car seats and the other items in the car were no longer there. The trunk has an electronic release which leads me to believe the only reason everything was not removed was because the trunk would not open due to a dead battery. Our office address again is **********************************, ****** has it listed properly as we update it each time as needed. When the third call was placed to law enforcement by the complainant she told the Lt. " I'm not calling him" this is most likely the reason she hasn't heard from us as we do not have contact information. Our office has the same land line phone number as it did on 1/20/24 when she spoke with the office and there have been no attempts made to contact anyone other than law enforcement or the BBB since. As far as AAA is concerned they call to make sure that there are no charges against a vehicle at a tow yard before they send anyone to tow it, of course when they called we told them there was a bill and they, not us cancelled the tow. A ****** search will reveal all of the information the customer is looking for., address, phone number and hours of operation. I hope this helps

The address provided to me by all time towing was ************* in ******* *****. That is where I went to pay the bill and pick up the vehicle after not being able to retrieve my sons belongings or locate the business on 1/22/2024. It is the location of ***** Towing and they told me that was not the location of all time towing. The vehicle was parked next to the garage there before it disappeared a few days later without a trace.
This is also the address all time towing provided Somerset county sheriff and ************************ who continued to direct me there. Last week after still not getting any answer when I phone the same number provided here (it would appear he had blocked my calls) he told the *********** police ***************** the business was located at *********************************************************. This is also a false address and not the location of all time towing.
This so called business has hidden and prevented us from settling up any tow bill or accessing our vehicle or property for over a month and the fact that he is providing yet another address to attempt to locate them at is clear evidence of what he is intentionally doing.
This is a vehicle belonging to a 16 year old boy. His football uniforms, work boots, and other items should have been accessible the day we were sent to 45 oxbow road one day after the accident. All time towing has the ONLY key to the cars trunk and was not anywhere to be found when he sent us to the address. I have audio recording of the addresses given.

      Regards,

      Canaan

The crash was on the 17th and the $350 price was quoted then and not paid at the time of service. The next 2 days we answered numerous phone calls with no one coming to get the vehicle. One being 9:30 at night 4.5 hours after business hours. On the third day was when the duo showed up. The original tow bill was $613 a discount was offered the day of the crash and not taken. The additional $300 was storage for calendar days of the 17th, 18th and, 19th. The friend was the aggressor upon arriving he started barking demands at the guys in the shop before ever getting to the office. When I the office and seeing the actual bill he threatened to call the cops. We offered to cal them for him and he became argumentative about the charges claiming we were double charging..... Mind you this is not his vehicle we tried to explain these charges and he didn't want to listen to the explanation. Again not his vehicle so he was told to leave and continued to aggravate the situation. He was then told to leave.
