*** lived in ****** for the past 7 years and out of those years, I was a customer of ******************** for 5 years. I recently purchased a home under the impression there was a preexisting 100 gallons in the oil tank. We moved in roughly 12 days ago with an 8 month old. This morning we awoke to the home at 54 degrees and lowering. I contacted Fieldings to confirm that I was a preexisting customer for 5 years and needed an emergency delivery at our new address because it was unsafe for my son. I was met with terminology that I wasnt an existing customer due to buying a home, regardless if they had delivery information in their system for multiple years. I requested to speak to a supervisor because the terminology they use leads to their existing customers being bamboozled in situations like this. The supervisor chose to point out that I hadnt had a delivery since February of 2022 and with that being said, they chose to view me as a non-customer stating that if you dont have oil delivered over a 12 month period. I asked her where that information was provided and the supervisor herself (***) said she did not know where it was listed to confirm.Even though the responsibility of oil in the household was transferred to my significant other whom uses a different company, the account is thus viewed as a non-customer. Nothing in regard to myself cancelling or closing the account and disqualifying me from getting an emergency fill for the safety of my child. I was then told by a woman named *** that my problem(s) are the same as 10% of the country and that if I was nice, I wouldve got farther with the process.At no point in time was I disrespectful, rude or insulting. I asked if they filed under the BBB and if the line was recorded. Both in which *** confirmed. Im awaiting a delivery from Fieldings today with no confirmation time in a house that has an 8 month old and a decreasing temperature but I will not be utilizing this company moving forward.
