On November 7, 2022, Family Dollar Stores of Ohio, LLC doing business as Family Dollar and their corporate business Dollar Tree, in the Court of Common Pleas Butler County, Ohio for the State of Ohio Attorney General's Office was issued a Complaint and Request for Declaratory Judgment Injunctive Relief, Consumer Restitution, and Civil Penalties based on having reasonable cause to believe that violation of Ohio's consumer protection laws have occurred mainly the Consumer Sales Practices Act for the State of Ohio.

On April 28, 2022, the Attorney General for the state of Arkansas filed lawsuit against Family Dollar and it's parent company Dollar Tree, Inc. for its reckless, willful, intentional, deceptiver and unconscionable practices of marketing, distributing and selling to Arkansas consumers products which were potentially hazardous, udulterated, or contaminated products as it relates to the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practice Act.
