Before Cassar companies purchased our apartment complex, we had reliable, knowledgeable, responsive management. In Spring of 2022, Cassar bought our complex. My observation of the first month: they let the grass grow to approximately 8" long. They did not retain the service of our (then, current) landscapers. Instead, they planted their on-site maintenance guy on a mini tractor intended for a small back yard. It was ludicrous. Finally, they had the sense to bring back the professional landscapers. It was very shoddy planning which then suggested a very cheap mindset. In August of 2022 our complex was struck by a tornado. The front railing and pillars that upheld the railings were rubble. Tall trees which must have been at least 20 years old were destroyed. These trees provided shade and a wind and noise break from the main road out front. The roof was damaged and required replacement in sections. The parking lot divider fence was demolished.Cassar likely got its insurance check within a month. The tornadic damage was obvious so there should have been no insurance payout dispute. It took them weeks to clear the trees, and the fence and brick pillars were only begun right before Christmas. This should have been complete by October.Just this week - the week of January 23, they finally replaced the parking lot divider fence. Four months since the tornado. The last straw comes with snow removal. Today's snowfall - a good 6-8" of heavy wet snow, lay unattended until one of the tenants got a shovel and shoveled a good section of sidewalk. She is not young and could have injured herself. Finally at 4:18 p.m. someone pulls in with a snowblower. The secretary at Headquarters is completely unprofessional and does "zero" to help the tenants . Easy things she could do - like use an online rent payment portal (which we used to have) - she will not. There are many ****** reviews about her (check them out). The owners (brothers) don't check her! These are facts.
