    Seeing SO many complaints about Grapids Home Services, I feel compelled to add my own experience. They also offered me a free inspection, but as it turned out, it wasn't a service tech who showed up, but the first half of a slick sales team. As with others, he said my heat exchanger was cracked and unsafe to use. Cue the big red danger tag, with the carbon monoxide warning (scares the $$ out of old people, you know). He showed me pictures of cracks, then called a mystery person for a second opinion. He made arrangements for slick sales guy #2 to show up a day later. Again, like others here, he suggested that it made sense to replace my ten year old furnace and also add central air for big $$$$. I was inclined to trust him, as I had used Grapids for years and was pleased with them thus far. Now, it seems like I was just being groomed for the kill. Older customer, older furnace... it's GO time! I agreed to the furnace/AC deal, although felt pushed (red flags galore) to get it done quickly for their best price. The installers were literally in my driveway with new equipment, as I was reading all the complaints from others who got this exact same pitch. I told them I was not comfortable with the whole thing and sent them packing. When I called the office later to get my down payment returned, the receptionist asked why I was not pleased. I started to tell her about all the similar complaints I'd read, when she interrupted with "you can't believe everything you read online", told me to enjoy my day, and hung up on me. Wow. Down payment was returned and I am DONE with them. It's too bad, as I believe their service people and installers are likely not even aware of the unscrupulous side of the business they work for. Oh, I did get a reputable company to inspect my furnace and surprise!.. "No problems found". He was also well aware of Grapids shady tactics. ******!

Our team can remove the heat exchanger and physically inspect it, rather than relying solely on cameras to locate any cracks.

    ***** performed diagnostic tests on our Carrier Infinity HVAC system to determine why we were experiencing problems with our low-medium-high speed furnace fan settings. He methodically checked everything, very professional, we were impressed. We went through a reset, everything is performing properly, and the furnace fan speeds are functioning now. We highly recommend , and***** GRapids services. Prompt and professional.

    Do NOT use this company. My furnace was working intermittently so needed service. I had never used Grapids before but they kept coming up on my internet feed. A serviceman came out right away and proceeded to inspect my furnace. They came back with a quote for 2 different actions - either to fix just to get by for a few months or replace many parts. The cost to fix "many parts" was just under $4,000. The rep showed me photos of a ton of rusted parts in my furnace and he also told me I need to replace my water heater and air conditioner. The rep recommended another person come out to quote a "multiple appliance discount" and, due to the fact that my furnace was about 10 years old and "they only last about 12 years," he scheduled a rep to come out and quote a full furnace replacement. I had an odd feeling in my gut when the rep started measuring my outside windows so did a quick search of reviews. As many reviews indicated, the rep sat down with me to go over my quote for a new furnace, new water heater, and new air conditioner. Cost was roughly $14,000. He wanted to find me a better price so called his boss and was able to move the price to $11,000. He pushed to have me sign and schedule the work but I told him I wouldn't at that time.The next day I had another company come out to check. The cost of the fix was under $200 which included the service call fee. I asked this repairman about rust and the condition of the water heater. No rust and my water heater would last for a few more years. My furnace is estimated to last about another 10 years.I suggest you go elsewhere and tell this company to do better. It is disgusting what they presented to me.
