      Stenger and Stenger has sued me over an alleged debt sold to them. They have garnished my wages. The debt was only $1,400. They have taken $2,213.57 from me as of February 24, 2022. This is unfair business practices. When I tried to talk to them several years ago about the old debt, they would not accept any payments other than an amount larger than I could afford. There was no working it out with them. So, it went to court. We are in a pandemic. I can't afford to have them taking extra money out of my check especially when the debt is old. They are fraudulent and claim to represent **** *******, which I have since learned it out of business. Please help me.

      Stenger & Stenger, P.C. is in receipt of your BBB Complaint wherein you stated you want the garnishment released and credit report updated.  Pursuant to the Consent Judgment it was agreed you would make monthly payments starting January 25, 2021.  As of May 25, 2021 our office had not received any payments and thus commenced a wage garnishment.  Our office has since received the agreed upon payments and therefore a garnishment release was filed with the court on January 18,2022.  Stenger and Stenger, P.C. does not report to credit bureaus and cannot speak on behalf of our client in regards to such.  If you have any further questions you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact our office at **************.  Regards, Stenger and Stenger, P.C.

      I am rejecting this response because: I received wage garnishment papers in March of 2022 directly from this company. I forwarded them to my attorney. My wages were garnished on April 1, 2022 for 588.83.

      I filed a complaint with the BBB about not being able to get in touch with anybody. They sent a garnishment to my job and I called Stronger & Stenger and set up a payment plan with them which I have been paying. They never sent the release of garnishment and now they are going to take the money out of my check anyway unless they get the release form. Of course, you can't get a hold of anybody here. Sat on hold for 45 minutes and nothing! This is ridiculous. They are ruining my job, my reputation and they are being paid! Send the release form to my job!!!

      my husband passed away in 2016 the original debt was for a gas card called ******** singer and singer did not bring this to my attention until a few months ago where it went to a mediator in my county ***** county **** in which the mediator explained to them I was unable to pay the debt due to loss of income and severe disability. they are aware of this I have tried to contact them to take this off my credit report because that's what the mediator said should happen they are not letting me talk to anyone as far as an attorney I feel like this is a scam I do not owe them this much money it is the wrong amount and they will not take it off my credit report and it keeps me from getting any place to live right now I'm living in a basement with nowhere to go because of this. when my husband passed away all my other debts were completely wiped away except for these people and I feel they're doing bodily and mental harm to me now. as I said I've tried to call him several times and they refused to take a call I also called The collection agency and they told me to have singer and singer to remove this from my report they still have not done it. I feel that they're trying to hurt me and harm me from getting any place to live at this point. I need help

      I got a letter from Stenger and Stenger the first week of September 2021. I called the following week and no one EVER answers! I called all the numbers on the letter trying to get a payment arrangement set up as I am no longer able to work since I am the sole caregiver for my 97 year old father. I simply wanted to split amount in half. I called every week and sent 2 emails to them up until mid November. My Dad got sick and I honestly forgot. On Dec 4th I got a summons for court! I called IMMEDIATELY AND ASKED FOR A CALL BACK. Nothing. That following Monday I called again using a number that was on the summons. A person named Jezon answered. I explained my situation and I told him I was able to pay off total debt. I asked that the court date be cancelled and he assured me after taking my payment information it would all be handled. Then he said the computers were slow so he could not give me a conformation number. But they would call me next day with it. A week later nothing out of my account and no email or call with conformation number. Again I called every number given to me nothing. Then I tried on my husbands phone, and surprise they answered on the first ring. I truly think they flagged my number as a no call back. I spoke to a lady named Demarius. I AGAIN told her the problem. She checked into the account and after 25 min of waiting she came back to tell me that the last person made a mistake and though they had my card info NOTHING was there to show I paid! She finally redid it and gave me a confirmation number. I did get a email 2 days later showing I paid but nothing about the court date dismissed. This company should be out of business. They are a fraudulent company. If I am dragged to court I am asking for time lost to go there and I will not pay court fees etc. I intend on taking a printout of all these complaints listed for the Judge. I hope you can help me with this. I am at a loss!

      I have tried contacting this company on numerous occasions without success! The wait time to speak to someone is hours without anyone contacting you! They have filed garnishment papers with the court and I am retired due to a disability and receive Medicare SSA only and have attempted to contact them to set up payment arrangements! One of the collections was settled abs they are trying to collect the balance! My SSA a exempt from garnishment and I want it removed!

      I have settled this specific account #**** with a Bal $7,306.82 back on 11/20/2020 with ************ for the Agreement Sum totaling $5,480.12, paying a down payment of $3,600.00 back on 11/20/2020; and reoccurring payments of $100.00 Monthly starting 12/30/2020. I repeated my bank information 3 times to ************ to have this set up and never once did he advise me that I had to call in or pay online monthly, otherwise we would not be dealing with this today. I NEVER received any kind of document stating payment wasn't received for this matter and then all of the sudden I get a Garnishment Court Document. I called and spoke to ************ himself, which he denied that the whole conversation ever existed and then I was transferred to a ******** supposedly******** supervisor that also stated the conversation never happened. I tried to get this matter resolved and bc my balance was paid down they wouldn't honor the precious settlement even though it was their fault! So they had to reevaluate the settlement based on what I owe which was roughly $5,000 and they offered to settle for $500 less, which is a joke! This company needs to be shut down!

      I paid a collection account through Stenger & Stenger on 10/19/2021 which was a settlement amount of $891.82. I gave the company written consent in an email to receive all notifications by email. They told me by opting for emails instead, I would receive everything quicker than by mail. I told them I needed a receipt for my own purposes. They told me I would receive it in 2 to 3 days. Now it only takes a few minutes to send over a email stating the amount I paid them and the date but I waited the couple of days. Today is 10/25 and still no emailed receipt. I called them today and now they said it will be 7 to 10 days for the email. I need the receipt because even though I paid the debt in full on a Tuesday, they still garnished my check on that following Friday. They didn't put a stop to it or anything so my employer need that email stating I paid them to stop the garnishment and they know it. Now they're telling me it will take 30 days to receive that money back, they took out of my check. I'm due to get paid again soon so if I don't have that email, they're gonna garnish my check again. Then it's gonna be the 30 day process again to get my money. This isn't right. All I'm asking for is a receipt for money I paid them and they won't give it to me.
