The statement date for the bill we received was 6/7/24, and the ******************* is $1,665. The charges are $764 for **************** or Birth (5 April 2024), $655 for Hospital Discharge Day (6 April 2024), and $250 for Hearing Screening Auditor (6 April 2024). I was never informed about either the doctor mentioned on the bill, birth services doctor ********************** or hearing and screening *********************************************** nor have I seen these doctors or been informed that they were out of network. The "birth service" in question was billed for 5 April 2024, when the birth was on 4 April 2024. Also, this bill itself has two different billing addresses: ***************************************** and the other is **********************************. The business has texted and mailed us to try to obtain this money, but we have not paid anything to them, and I would like them to adjust this "bill" to $0 for services they did not provide.

I receiveda letter from collections stating that I owed over $3000 to Pediatrix Medical Group. I immediatelycalled Pediatrix requesting an itemized report of what I was being billed for and requested documentation of how and when they tried to contact me. They informed me that they called one time and gave me a phone number that was incorrect. They also told me that they never billed my insurance, either. They had all of my information incorrect even though I had paid a previous bill from them for a prenatalultrasound. At the point of my first call to discuss why I was sent to collections, my child was already a year and a half old. I have since called four times requestingan itemized report with codes, which they continue to tell me: "I will put it in the notes that you called and requested this information, and it will be mailed to you within two weeks." My child is now two years old, and this has yet to be resolved. I have not received ANY documentation from Pediatrix on what and why I am being billed. I have also contacted the hospital, and they pulled every itemized report from me and my child to prove that I have paid in full for all supplies, equipment, and medical providers. The insurance company also confirmed that I have paid in full. There is absolutely no proof that Pidiatrix provided any medical support during my or my child's stay. This is a direct violation of the No Surprise Act and fraudulent charges. If this isn't resolved, I am ready to take legal action against Pediatrix Medical Group. The balance needs to be removed immediately. I will also file complaintswith all parties associated with the No SurpriseAct.

Daughter was born in ***** and was never notified by providers at hospital that they bill separately or were out-of-network. Mid June received a bill from this group that was postdated the end of March. I am a military member and the hospital had my insurance, but they didn't go through them. The phone number they provide on the bill and their website does not work and leads nowhere.

I gave birth to my daughter on 12/29/23 and we were discharged together on 1/1/24. All bills with the hospital were received and paid, either through insurance or out of pocket before mid February. On 2/22/24, I received a text stating I owed a balance from Pediatrix Medical Group. Thinking it was a scam, I ignored it. I got the same text on 2/26/24, stating a balance of $655.00 was due. I called the number included and asked for it to be sent to insurance and was told it would take up to 30 days to receive a new statement. After that, I had not received any further contact until today. On 6/19/24, I received another text stating that I have a balance due. I have reviewed the statement, which is a hospital discharge fee. I called the number provided, and was told that I am on the third day past the date received, though I have not received any physical bills nor have I consented to be billed through text. I asked the representative if she could provide the consent for me, and was told my statement was sent on 6/18/24, which did not answer my question. I do plan to escalate this matter and/or seek legal counsel, as I do not have any papers from my discharge that note Pediatrixs involvement in my or my childs care.

Today, on 6/26/24, an Escalation Manager (*****) called me. The number was identified as a "Spam Call" by my phone, so I called the number left in the voicemail. The Escalation Manager, explained that I would need to contact the hospital to obtain a consent to treatment form that I signed. I have gone through my paperwork from the hospital and I was still unable to find any information about this company. After explaining that to *****, she said that there is a possibility that my daughter was seen by a neonatal nurse and they cannot disclose the name of the nurse, only the supervising doctors. They were able to provide the billing doctors' names. I have a request in at the hospital to send an itemized bill and care notes to verify the doctors who I am being billed for. I still have not received a paper statement from this company, which she said she would request they mail another in the next 24 hours. I was also offered a 30% discount, without any conditions or expiration, which I would need to contact the Escalation Manager to have applied to my account. She also let me know that they have placed a hold on my account, so that it would not be running on a collections countdown. I will update after I have received the information from the hospital.

We were given a surprise bill from this "pediatrix medical group", after having our second child on 2/1/24.We already paid all of our hospital bills in full. Then surprisingly received this after the fact. About 2-3 weeks after all bills were paid. All bills owed were paid through the hospital and OB, by cash. This group claiming payment, was never brought to our attention while in the hospital, and we did not agree to any treatment or services that would've been extra, or by an outside provider. The hearing test scheme that they do now is completely unethical and fearmongering, so they can charge you for the test twice, which in reality, only needs to be done once after 24 hours the baby has been born. This "pediatrix group" clearly is unethical, with the amount of complaints online. Accusations of false/overcharged bills. Surprise billing complaints(which is now against the law). Not to mention this same "Pediatrix" has claims online of being a completely fraudulent company to rip off new parents. There are two addresses on the statement that don't match up, not the same contact numbers, and when you try to call, they say they can't help you/assist you/or give you anymore information, only that it needs to be paid. They also are requiring payment in full, and don't have any assistance options or pay over time options. I will be submitting complaints formerly through the **************** of ********** and will also be filing formal complaints on the Texas medical board on every Doctor/provider listed on this statement. If this is not resolved and done away with completely, and is then sent to collections, I will be having my attorneys getting involved. This is extremely predatory behavior on behalf of medical groups like this, and when they expect you to shell out sums of money with no explanation, (that is fraudulent). I will not do it. I will not pay them a cent. I will take legal action if necessary.

      Unsatisfactory.

Our efforts to contact the business is poor.

When trying to call numbers. No one answers. Or if we do get a hold of someone, they have no information on our case.

I expect for this to be dropped entirely if we cannot speak to someone to tell us this has been taken care of.

That will be the only satisfactory outcome.

I will make sure that we deny any and all efforts by your organization to provide any services at any point in the future, and will also spread the word.

BBB My daughter had surgery at the end of February 2024. She was to receive a cranial remodeling orthosis (cranial helmet) in March 2024. Before they would order the helmet for us we were told we had to pay our remaining deductible of ******* before they would even order the helmet although there were claims being processed that would cover the rest of the deductible. They didnt bill insurance until after she received the helmet on her head. I received a bill of ~1200 for her surgery and called Pediatrix billing department to ask about a credit for the amount of ******* on our account which we should have had for overpayment, that way they could take what we owed from that amount and reimburse us the rest. I was told there was no payment of *******. I spoke to insurance and nothing had been applied to the deductible for a cranial helmet. On my insurance claims, the cranial helmet was billed ALONG with the office visits for the helmet, in which I only had a copay of $75. So the deductible they received from me never went towards any deductible as the cranial helmet and all the visits for adjustments are billed as office visits. I called back and spoke to someone else who had to speak to the financial department to find the payment. Thankfully I kept my receipt. They said the ******** was a credit on my account. I was told they would put the funds on hold, pay my bill with those funds, and I would be reimbursed what was left. I then called quite some time later after seeing my bill had been paid to inquire about my reimbursement. Now Im being told that they wont refund me my credit back because theres an insurance claim which shows its been paid and my patient responsibility is $0. Pediatrix took ******** from me, never applied it to a deductible, and they are now holding the funds hostage on money they should have never received in the first place. I need a resolution as it has been months now. To me this is theft, I would like my overpayment reimbursement back.

I received the first bill almost a year after our daughter was born. All other hospital bills related to her birth are through the hospital and have been paid. So to receive a bill over a year later for services that aren't explained in the bill and after a major security breach with Integris, we are questioning the legitimacy of this bill. I have spoken with them but they have been unsuccessful as providing a bill of the services provided and have threaten to send me to collections. I have also tried to contact Integris to verify anything on the bill and they haven't been able to help me either. I have said multiple times that I will pay the amount due if they can verify the bill and services rendered. Then they just threaten to send me to collections again. The hostility makes me question this bill even more. When I mentioned the security breach the lady laughed at me on the phone and once again told me I would be sent to collections. Please help me resolve this matter as I have had no luck and am being met with such hateful and threatening demeanor.

I am rejecting this response because: I have returned phone calls immediately after and left a voicemail. I have called multiple times and have yet to get anyone on the phone. Now as of Saturday I received notice that they actually did send my bill into collections. So they have now billed me an entire year later but then turned around and sent me to collections less than 6 months of getting the 1st bill. Mind you I have been in contact and requested an itemized bill and said if they could produce an itemized statement that I would happily pay the bill. This is downright ridiculous. I have never disputed a bill in my life and have always paid timely on everything. The way they run their business is wrong on so many levels. They way I was treated after receiving a bill a year later after a major security breach is unacceptable. I will continue to contact this company myself but anyone else dealing with them should be aware of how they operate.

I am so upset at this company that sent me a bill of around $1300 shortly after my son was born last year. As a first time mom with great insurance and a hospital employee where I gave birth at, I was shocked in receiving this bill. In complete shock and worry on how to pay this large bill, I set up a payment plan of $113 a month and paid this bill for a year until it was paid off. I then received another bill for $600 about a month or two ago. SO CONFUSED. I called and needed an explanation of whats going on since Ive been paying a bill already for a year and now that its paid off, I receive another one? The woman on phone looked into my account and told me the $1300 bill I had a paid for the past year, I shouldnt have paid because my insurance was not billed.now Im more confused. She gathered my insurance information and told me they will bill my insurance and I will receive the $1300 refunded in a couple weeks. I called back a few weeks after not hearing anything and the man on the phone was very unhelpful and didnt know what I was talking about. He left me on hold for a while to look into my account. He told me that the claim to my insurance was denied due to timely filing and that I was not getting my $1300 refund. Now Im very disappointed and unsure what to do. I called my insurance to get more info on why they denied the claim and they said they never received a claim from this Pediatrix company. I WANT MY $1300 BACK. I have been thinking about getting a lawyer involved but I am choosing to go this route for now to get some type of response and hopefully my money back from this sketchy company.

      Complaint: 21759136

I am rejecting this response because:

I never received a call and my correct phone number was provided and my account can be looked up with my name and DOB 9/30/96. I would want someone to actually contact me and give me an actual resolution which would be submit the claim to my insurance so I can receive my refund.

      Sincerely,
