    Under 15 U.S. Code ****n - Civil liability for willful noncompliance, any person or business reporting fraudulent or inaccurate information resulting in damages is liable for those damages and attorney fees incurred from legal action. I have disputed this account three times, this account is fraudulent. This account appeared on my report in July of 2021 under Midwest Collections. I disputed the account with ****** from Midwest on July 15, 2021 at 10:19AM and the collection was removed from my credit report then sold to LJ Ross and now they are reporting it. This fraudulent account was not opened by me on March 13, 2023 as LJ Reports nor did I ever live at the address of service. LJ Ross never informed me of this debt, I am only aware because Midwest informed me in June 2021. I am requesting a signed contract of who approved this service, the name of the person, a copy of the picture ID, date, time and phone number of the person that contracted/approved this service from LJ. An employee from ** has reported to the credit bureau that this I live at an address I have never lived at.*************** ASSOCIATES, *** Account number ******** Account type ******************** Responsibility Individual Date opened 03/13/2023 This is fraud.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

    LJ Ross has fraudulently reported to the credit report that this account was opened in March of this year.  The original collection company was Midwest that sold LJ Ross this fraudulent information.   This is inaccurate information.   LJ Ross reported to Experian that I lived at an address I have never lived at.  It is reported on my report that an employee from LJ Ross added a different address to my credit report.

    they have been calling my phone number. they need to remove me from their lists. i have 2 numbers. one is forwarded to the other phone so I'm not sure which number they are calling so they need to remove both number.************ and ************.i have zero debts in collections. I regularly check my credit reports and there is nothing delinquent. they need to stop harassing me.do not let them reach out to me any any way shape or form. just remove my phone numbers and stop calling.

    *************** Associates, **** (LJRA) has completed a full investigation, and a review of our records finds that we have placed calls to the phone number of ************ for a consumer by a different name than the name on the complaint.  LJRA has removed the phone number from our system and no further calls will be made to this phone number.  **** asks that should they receive any calls from our office in the future, they simply call us back and advise us that we have a wrong phone number.  This matter could have easily been resolved with a simple phone call in lieu of filing a complaint.

    I am not liable for this debt with ********* ***************** I do not have a contract with LJ Ross Associates, they did not provide me with the original contract requested. Complete payment history, the requirement of which has been established by ****** v *******, 745 N.E.2d 862; **** Ind. App. ***** 509. The obligation between you and I that allows you to collect on the alleged debt and any transactions between your company that binds me to an agreement to pay your company any money that you claim I owe. Proof of photo identification (i.e., driver's license, state identification card, or other government issued identification card) that was presented to you at the time of incurring this debt. Letter of sale or assignment from the original creditor to your company. (Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt.) ******* v. *************** Services, 302CV577, **** WL ******** (************, Oct. 29, ****) A copy of the **** that was issued. I'm sure you know, under FDCPA Section 809(b), you are not allowed to pursue collection activity until this debt is validated. You should be made aware that in Boatley ************ Corporation, No. Civ 03-0762 (D.C. Ariz. ****), the court ruled that reporting a collection account is, indeed, considered collection activity. You should also note that this is not a request for "Partial" Validation but rather, it's a request for EVERYTHING listed here in order to constitute full and sufficient validation of this debt.

    This collection agency LJ Ross has placed a collection on my credit and they never sent me a letter nor a telephone call about this collection so I had no idea I had a collection account and by law I was suppose to be given 30 days to review the validity of the debt. They placed this on my credit on 12/30/22 knowing come Jan 1 2023 any collections under $500 shouldnt be placed on my credit that bill they state I owe is only $150.00 I would like the collection removed from my credit. In my book they committed fraud and violated my consumer rights by not contacting me and giving me 30 days to review the debt.

    *************** Associates, **** (LJRA) has completed a full investigation.  The BBB portal is not the proper communication portal for the consumer to communicate.  LJRA will mail validation information directly to the consumer.  LJRA will also include a copy of the original written communication that was mailed to the consumer back on 11/3/2022 to the same address listed on this complaint. LJRA denies all accusations of of fraud and violating consumer rights.  LJRA prides itself on its compliance with all federal and state laws, and our investigation shows that we have acted in full compliance.  Also, the consumer makes a claim that we placed the item on their credit report "on 12/30/22 knowing come Jan 1 2023 any collections under $500 shouldn't be placed on my credit that bill they state I owe is only $150.00".  LJRA would like the consumer to understand that the proposed change in medical debt credit reporting of debts under $500.00 does not go into effect until March 2023, and is still not confirmed in law or regulation by any state or federal entity.  LJRA will not respond with any account information details via the BBB portal due to the public posting of BBB complaints and responses, and we will not disclose private information via a public source.  Once the consumer receives the validation information, LJRA asks that the consumer contact our office directly to any further questions and/or account resolution options.  We are available Monday through Thursday from 8am to 7:30pm and Friday from 8am to 2pm EST.  Our toll free phone number is **************.

    They should desist from calling my job and when I am at work.They refused to disclose who they represent and sounded like scammers.Requesting for credit card information over the phone and social security number.

    *************** Associates, **** (LJRA) has conducted a full investigation.  LJRA reviewed the call recording and verified that our agent did not ask the consumer for credit card information.  LJRA is required by federal law to properly identify that we are speaking with the correct consumer prior to disclosing any information in our office.  The consumer refused to verify any information and stated not to call them anymore.  LJRA placed the account in a cease and desist status and will no longer attempt to contact the consumer by mail or phone.

    LJ Ross has a collection on my account for medical debt that was suppose to of been paid by insurance. The most ironic thing is LJ Ross likes to respond on here saying they can not talk about personal information but had no problem to violate the ***** and call a family member of mines landline discussing my personal information over a $35 collection. Have never seen any proof this is my responsibility yet they will not remove it from credit report, ******** AG's office and FTC are the next step.

    *************** Associates, **** (LJRA) has reviewed and investigated this complaint.  A review of our records shows that LJRA has already received a complaint from this consumer via the ****'s complaint portal back in July 2021 making the same claims.  LJRA provided all information to the **** disproving the consumer's claims.  The **** investigated and closed the complaint without any findings.  LJRA will not post the investigation results here on the BBB portal, but the consumer may contact the **** once again to get the investigation results from their previous complaint.  LJRA requests that the consumer contact our office directly to discuss the account and resolution options.  We are available Monday through Thursday from 8am to 7:30pm EST, and Friday from 8am to 2pm EST at **************.  LJRA welcomes the opportunity to assist the consumer and ask that they contact us directly as we are limited in information we can provide through third-party portals.  However, prior to discussing anything, the consumer will be required to rescind their cease and desist order on their account.

    *************** Associates, **** (LJRA) has completed a full investigation.  LJRA does not respond with any detailed account information via the BBB's portal as the BBB publically posts responses, and the information LJRA has for the consumer is protected information.  However, LJRA can verify that we have not committed any HIPAA violations as we are a business associate to the original creditor.  LJRA will mail debt validation information directly to the consumer.  After review, if the consumer still contends that they are a victim of identity theft, the consumer will mus provide our office with a fraud affidavit from the FTC's website at www.identitytheft.gov, a police report, a copy of their photo identification, and their notarized signature.
