      I have had my taxes done by Integrity (was ********) for over ten years. Every year was the same routine. During 2019 I filed an extension for my 2018 taxes due to my wife's medical challenges and an *** audit for 2016. **** (my accountant) had me come to the office several times because of questions regarding the audit. One of the early visits I brought him my standard box of everything 2018 (Monthly envelopes of all transactions and QuickBooks log in info). I signed paperwork for the 2016 audit and believed I was also signing for my *************************************************** 2019.A little over a year ago I received a letter from the *** with a bill stating that I never filed 2018 taxes. The bill was aprox ****** . I called Integrity in a panic and was told **** no longer was an employee, he had been let go, no additional information would be given. They said they did not have any of my 2018 tax info, that I must have it. I searched the entire house multiple times in a panic and called the following week. They looked again and found it. I had a meeting with the manager who said because nothing was signed they were not liable and they offered no help. I hired ************* to help who promised they would be able to have the penalties dropped. This entire process has taken so long only to learn ************* could not help reduce the penalties. Months ago I called and spoke with the manager/owner of Integrity to share my experience. She was concerned and said that this was not right, apologized and said she was going to talk with the last manager I had met with and call me back. She did not. I have called to talk with her and she will not return my calls.My wife suffers with Fibromyalgia and a number of related ailments. We are in the ** on average 5 plus times a year. We have three young children. I am the sole provider. This entire experience was unnecessary, all of this additional anxiety and stress also unnecessary.

      My intent on writing a review is to make sure no one misses out on the American Opportunity Tax Credit (****) for their college aged student. Be aware that if you contribute at least $4,000.00 toward your students post secondary education, you qualify for the $2,500 tax credit. This applies to trade ******s as well as four year universities! Apparently the Integrity ********* has not recognized trade ******s such as our daughters - ******* J ************* ****** as eligible for the **** credit up to this point.We alerted our tax advisor at the Integrity ********* of our eligibility for the **** when we submitted our tax information to her. When she called us in to sign, she said we did not qualify for the **** (she had applied the Lifetime Learning credit instead) and she had even run this by the Regional Manager. When we said we did indeed qualify and wanted to confirm this, if nothing more than for our own peace of mind, she balked at it, even when I showed her the website describing the ****, she insisted trade ******s such as our daughters ******* J Cosmetology ****** did not qualify. It wasnt until I submitted to the Office Manager and Regional Manager the ************ base website with our daughters ****** listed on it that we were heard (Database of *************** Secondary Institutions and Programs (DAPIP).The Regional Manager did rework the tax return to include the ****, but this was over a $1000.00 initial error on their part by not giving the ****. We did receive an apology from the Regional Manager, but not our advisor. In addition, we were charged $200.00 more this year than last year for our return, with the same number of forms used, and when I questioned why I never received a response from either the Regional Manager or the Office Manager. Did they charge us to fix their mistake?Additionally, we recently discovered they overlooked charitable rules while taking standard deduction in 2020/2021! This amounted to $900.00 in deductions.
