I am writing to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the service I received following the breakdown of the vehicle I purchased from your dealership two months ago. The series of events that have unfolded since then has been inconvenient and financially burdensome, and I believe this situation has been handled poorly. When my car broke down, I contacted my salesperson, who instructed me to tow it to a location that was later discovered to be closed. This resulted in me paying for an additional tow to a different, closer location. Despite my concerns about the vehicle's condition, given how recently it was purchased, I was left to navigate these issues mainly on my own. I was directed to return to the dealership where I purchased the car to request a rental vehicle, as the closer location indicated they had none available for approximately 30 days. After paying out of pocket for transportation to the **** location, I was informed that the rental needed to come from the facility where my car was being serviced. This back-and-forth led to significant inconvenience and wasted time. When I returned to the service location, I spoke with the service representative and asked for clarification on the situation. I was informed that rentals were only provided for engine-related issues, despite the fact that all the coolant had leaked out of my vehiclea problem that directly affects the engine. The lack of clarity and support was frustrating, and it wasn't until a week later that I was finally provided with a rental car. Since my car has been in service since late August, I have been dealing with ongoing issues, including: - Being told I would need to pay $400 out of pocket despite having a warranty. - Paying an additional $460 due to the rental car's broken window when it was in my possession. - Covering my car note and insurance payments while the vehicle remains out of service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have reached out to our team and we have no record of the customer coming into service for this issue. Unfortunately, we have to use GDS to reset the radio which would be $175. Our service manager also tried a different way to help with having a message sent to her phone via text to get the code to help unlock but she was not receiving the text message with the code. I will have someone from our team reach out to try to come up with a solution with the customer.

On December 3, 2022, I contacted Feldman Chevrolet about a pre approval for a car loan from my credit card company. My loan was approved through my credit card company but Feldman Chevrolet without my knowledge or consent ran my credit with multiple other companies. I did not want my credit pull for any other finance company other than ************ I have over 4 different credit inquiries that I didn't not authorize. I would like this company to do what ever is needed to remove this fraudulent inquires off my credit report.

Some insight into the situation: July 4th, 2022 - car overheated & was towed to Feldman Chevrolet @ 4pm (closed due to holiday)July 5 - repair estimate for $800 to fix the thermostat. July 8 - I was told that AFTER they replaced the thermostat, they realized the head gasket was warped and there was water in my oil. Now the repair would cost $3.6k (Between these dates, I had to figure out how to get a car, drive to a different dealership, purchase the part & deliver it to Feldman. All expenses to get a car and deliver the part to them was paid out of my pocket as well)July 21 - I got my car back, paid the $3.6k and was told it was tested and safe to drive. As I drove it off the lot, it was evident to me that it was not running properly but drove it home to *********, as it was picked up at the end of the work day. July 22 - I messaged them the next morning letting them know I had noticed an issue with the acceleration and that I was going to be driving the car back to Livonia that day for errands. I would call them if the problem persisted/if there was a problem. When I got to town, I made one stop. As I was leaving, there was a near-miss accident 18 hours after I received the car from the dealership. As I was turning left out of a parking lot, the car did not accelerate and I was stuck in the center of a 7 lane road where I was almost t-boned. I called the dealership, where the general manager told me that "cars are like cell phones and that it was probably a glitch" He also said they wouldn't look at it until the following Monday, to which I refused and said I would be bringing the car directly to them to discuss this problem that day. I was able to restart the car and drive back to Feldman ***** about a mile or so away. Aug 1, 2022 - Told the turbo oil cooler & catalytic converter need replacing for an additional $3.3k (verbal quote). Written estimate states $4.4k Aug 10, 2022 - Car towed from dealership & scrapped.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:

I am rejecting the response because I believe that the dealership was not honest with me either from the beginning when they discovered there was more wrong with the vehicle than the thermostat or when they did the faulty repair and test drove the car. There is no possible way that a mechanic would have driven the car, post-faulty repair and thought it was a complete, safe repair. I noticed a problem with the accelaration driving it off the lot. The general manager stated they test drive their cars "***** miles" whereas my service rep stated that "there is no way they test drive them that long. they dont have the time, they drive for a few miles or so". I believe that the dealership did not want to lose out on money when they made the faulty repair so instead of letting me know that they either messed up, or found more issues with the car, they gave it back to me and less than 24 hours later, the car was back in the shop with a slew of other issues "they didn't see before I took the car". The dealership pushed for me to make the first $3.5k of repairs, knowing that it could result in other major issues (their knowledge of other issues arising was only brought up after the faulty-repair and when I brought the car back the following day. Had I known from the start that the repair costs would be upwards of $7k (more than the value of the car) I wouldn't have brought it in for repair at all. I would like to be compensated for the repair and part I paid for, which resulted in having to scrap the vehicle after taking it to Feldman ***** of Livonia to be "repaired".

    Regards,
