My purchase from Fraser Engines is possibly the worst purchase I have ever made.I ordered Fraser advantage engine and transmission in September, I had a fully licensed ASE 5 start rated mechanic install them who specializes in engine changes and is used by local dealerships and thousands of customers a year in this part of ****, we are currently in March and I still do not have a properly working engine or transmission, The first engine that was sent from Fraser lasted a little over 800 miles, the transmission lasted about 4 miles before it started slipping gears and not shifting. While attempting to correct the transmission, Fraser wanted parts changed on my truck, blaming them for the failed transmission and racking up more cost for myself. We did all the required changes and driving that they wanted us to do and still the transmission does not work properly however during the transmission testing a knock in the engine devolved, after several voicemails and emails Fraser finally decided to replace the engine after trying to force me to use my 1 time no fault engine replacement warranty ( which cost extra) So now with a new engine in place i was hopeful that I would finally have my truck back. After taking it to fill up on gas, the engine threw a misfire code. running the code scanner showed a misfire in cylinder 6, which led to more diagnostics and eventually a new set of fuel injectors. Now the engine has multiple misfires, is unable to drive, and needs to be towed, costing my more out of pocket to fix my "better than OEM" engine. At least, that is what they advertise and want you to think their engines and transmissions are. The fact is that they are worse than junkyard engines. I am now 16k into the engine, transmission, tows, rental cars ( because my truck hasn't ran in 6 months), diagnostics and parts aside from the engine that Fraser says is the cause of the issue Avoid them at all costs A junk yard engine would be a better option and a lot cheaper

To the BBB ***************************************************** has been a leader in the automotive industry since 1961, maintaining an A+ rating with the BBB and earning over ***** verified ****** reviews. A company does not sustain over six decades of success without delivering consistent quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. This review grossly misrepresents the facts and fails to disclose critical details about the situation. The individual in question verbally abused our female staff, which is entirely unacceptable. Fraser Engines has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, and we will not engage with customers who mistreat our employees.Regarding the mechanical claims, facts matter:Installation Quality is Critical Every remanufactured engine and transmission requires strict adherence to installation guidelines. Even the most skilled mechanics must follow manufacturer-recommended procedures, including proper fluid priming, ECM reprogramming, and system calibrations. Failure to do so can cause premature failure, regardless of component quality.Industry-Standard Warranty Protocols Our No-Fault Warranty is an industry-leading option that provides additional coverage beyond our already comprehensive standard warranty. This was fully disclosed at the time of purchase. It is designed to protect customers from unforeseen failures while ensuring proper diagnostic steps are followed. Objective Diagnostic Process Our technical team follows rigorous diagnostic protocols before approving warranty claims. If additional components (such as fuel injectors, sensors, or transmission control modules) are identified as necessary to prevent further damage, these recommendations are made based on evidence, not speculation.Decades of Proven Reliability If our products were truly "worse than junkyard engines," we would not have remained in business for over six decades, nor would we hold an A+ BBB rating and thousands of positive reviews. The success of tens of thousands of customers contradicts the exaggerated claims made in this review. We encourage all BBB readers to evaluate the facts objectively. ********************************************* remains committed to customer service, product excellence, and ethical business practices. While we understand that mechanical failures can be frustrating, professionalism and adherence to factual accuracy are essential when discussing product performance.Sincerely,*********************************************

Don't buy from them. They are a ripoff! Bought a motor at the end of April it didn't get delivered until June. From day one the motor had nothing but probably. There's a lady in warranty that is a straight nightmare. She is rude and disrespectful. My truck stayed at my mechanic's shop from June to September because of all the parts and testing they wanted him to do until they finally decided to send a 2nd motor. When I finally got my truck back and called Fraser warranty department Ms. *********** got real angry and said they was on paying ***** dollars an hour to my mechanic for everything that their tech had my mechanic do. So they racked up thousands of dollars with all their testing, part swapping, pictures and documentation and paid only a ******* towards the bill. The lady in the warranty department said take it or leave it. I told her I wanted to speak to a manger and she said she was the manger and told me she wasn't going to pay me anything that I can take it up with corporate and she hung up on me. I get a call 15 minutes later and it's someone from fraser saying that the lady said I threatened her. I never did. I told him to play the tape. Sorry 1st I'm out of a vehicle for 4 months then I'm out of thousands of dollar and now this crazy lady is telling lies to cover up her rude, disrespectful and childish attitude. Worse company i ever used. You guys should have done the right thing and paid for the parts, testing and installation of the 2nd motor. And no mechanic shop charge ***** an hour in American. That's an insult to their craft.

Subject: Response to Ticket Number 72 192 Dear BBB Readers and Mr. ******* appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised in ticket number 72 192 from the FRASER legal department.First and foremost, we would like to clarify that we believe Mr. ****** claims are grossly exaggerated. The engine replacement he is referring to was conducted by a service provider that, unfortunately, does not employ certified technicians or operate as a licensed repair center. This is a significant issue that undermines the quality of service that should have been delivered.Specifically, regarding the 2005 **** Expedition with a 5.4 engine, we want to highlight that *** manufactures the high-durability motors for this model. While we agree that Mr. **** should not have experienced any issues, we believe the problems stemmed from improper installation. Additionally, Mr. **** declined the option to add labor coverage during our recorded conversations, even after being offered several times. He stated he was planning to get rid of the vehicle, which is a critical detail in this situation.Despite these challenges, we empathized with Mr. ****** situation and took the initiative to cover $1,100 in costs, even though he did not have labor coverage. It is also important to mention that Mr. **** failed to register his warranty paperwork, which automatically voided his warranty ********* FRASER, we have been proudly serving our customers since 1961, and we maintain an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. This esteemed rating reflects our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. It is essential for readers to understand that the BBB would not grant us this rating if we were not a reputable company. We urge everyone to consider that while online reviews can influence perceptions, they do not accurately represent our dedication to quality service and customer care. We strive to operate with integrity and transparency, and we regret that misinformation may lead to misunderstandings.Thank you for your attention to this matter. We remain committed to providing exceptional service and appreciate your understanding as we navigate these challenges.Sincerely, Fraser Engines ****************

To the Better Business Bureau Readers,We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the recent review submitted by ******* ******. As a company that has proudly served the automotive community since 1961, we take customer feedback seriously and wish to address some inaccuracies in this case.First and foremost, our shipping policies are clearly outlined, and we do not ship to ******. Purchased upgraded crate engine in may. The engine they sent me had cracked cylinders. They didnt want to warranty it said it was mopars warranty even after I had purchased the no fault warrenty with the engine through them. Finally after over 2 months of emailing and txting they finally agreed to send a new unit. Keep in mind this is my work vehicle so Ive been out of work for over 2 months. The dealership has completed the service and the vehicle is ready for pick up but they cant release it until labor is paid. They have scheduled core pick up and engine is yet to be picked up.

It sounds like you've had a really difficult experience, *******. Being out of work for over two months due to engine issues, especially after purchasing an upgraded crate engine with a no-fault warranty, is incredibly frustrating. Its even more challenging when communication delays prolong the process, and youre stuck waiting for labor payments and a core pick-up.Your review sheds light on the impact this has had on your livelihood, and its important that companies provide the level of service they promise, especially when warranties are involved. Hopefully, ***** steps up to ensure everything is resolved quickly. If there are any further issues with the core pick-up or labor payments, it might help to escalate the matter again to ensure they understand the urgency of your situation.Best of luck getting everything sorted and back on the road soon!---

I ordered an engine for my 2016 Kia ******** just over a month ago. It was sent to the business that I had contracted to install the engine, and upon receipt, they notice that a selenoid was unusable, and upon the beginning of the install, that several of the bolt holes for the oil pan and valve cover were stripped. Fraser was notified of these issues, and after being told that a technician would contacting the business and not to install the engine, we waited for 12 days for some sort on concrete response from Fraser, or a visit from their technician. Neither the business, nor myself, were given any indication that this would be resolved or how it would be resolved, so the business corrected the flaws and installed the engine (as I needed the vehicle and the business needed the space). Because of this, any compensation for these costs have been denied. Both of us have been repeatedly rude, despite their protestations to the opposite. Had I known that Fraser bought the engine elsewhere, which I was not told, I would never have gone to them for this remanufactured engine. Sad to say, I would not recommend doing business with them and will advise anyone seeking an engine to do the same. Poorly handled!

**Fraser ************* Response to BBB Review**Dear BBB Readers,Thank you for taking the time to read our response regarding a recent review that raises serious concerns about our company. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the facts surrounding this situation and to reaffirm our commitment to integrity and customer *********************************** ************* has been a proud member of the automotive community since 1961, and we are honored to have maintained an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. This rating is a testament to our dedication to providing quality service and products, which has allowed us to thrive in a competitive market for over six decades. The claim made by the customer in question is both unfounded and defamatory. It is essential to clarify that Fraser ************* does not manufacture *** or ******* engines; instead, we contract these engines from reputable manufacturers. In this particular case, we contracted the engine from SRC (Specialty Racing Components), a leading engine manufacturer specializing in *** and ******* motors with whom we have enjoyed a strong partnership for over 15 years.Upon delivering the engine, we informed the customer of the necessity of inspecting the motor before acceptance, as indicated by a conspicuous red sticker on the engine itself. The customer signed this acknowledgment, confirming their understanding of the inspection requirement. Unfortunately, instead of adhering to this important step, the customer chose to have an uncertified mechanic install the engine. This decision ultimately led to the reported issues with the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system. We believe that the damage incurred was a result of improper installation rather than any defect in the engine provided by SRC. When the customer sought to hold SRC accountable for the issues arising after installation, their claim was rightfully denied, as they had accepted the engine without conducting the required inspection.Fraser ************* finds itself in an unfortunate position, caught in the middle of this dispute. We strive to fill every order with integrity, and it is disheartening to face such baseless accusations after providing a contracted engine. The profit from this transaction amounted to only $200, a sum that pales in comparison to the turmoil this situation has caused. Moreover, we are saddened to report that our staff experienced rude and disrespectful treatment from the customer, including cursing and unfounded accusations. Such behavior is not reflective of the professional environment we cultivate at Fraser *************. In light of these events, we have escalated this matter to our legal division for appropriate action. We take great pride in our longstanding relationships with reputable companies such as Jasper ********************** and maintain strong partnerships with retailers like AutoZone, ********, *** Boys, and Napa. Our commitment to quality and customer service has allowed us to remain a trusted name in the industry. In conclusion, we encourage all readers to consider the facts presented here. Fraser ************* remains dedicated to our customers and upholding our integrity. We regret that this situation has arisen and hope for a resolution that reflects the truth of our business practices.Thank you for your understanding and for considering our perspective.Sincerely, Fraser *************
