Have a mortgage with flagstar , never missed a payment. I am enrolled in auto pay , while I was traveling for a family emergency out of the country my payment for the month of **** was returned. I did not know it was returned until I got back and received a call in early July, I answered the call and immediately remade the payment. Was the first time I was aware of the issue. Flagstar reported a delinquency on my credit and caused my credit to drop almost 200 points. Because of the reporting it is causing my financial hardship with my small business.Flagstar Bank Response

As a first time home owner with my sons's father I am very upset with Flagstar. Not only did I have to sign off on my inheritance to get the down payment for the house, but they refused to allow me to be put on anything. Instead they forced me to sign my money over to my sons's father and then proceeded to only put his name on everything. I now have no family to fall back on if things don't work and will be homeless with no money or assets. This company basically said s**** me and my daughter, who's father is deceased. So my 25k that I had to sign over is now in their pocket and I am left with the possibility of being evicted from a house that I also paid 11k cash to put a new roof on. If I could report them as a scam company I would.Flagstar Bank Response

I love this bank. I was skeptical at first because of the high interest rate but this bank has been spot on so far. I've only been a customer since May of 2024 but so far I have had no issues. One thing though is that they have a 9 day hold on some external transfers, meaning if you initiate the transfer from Flagstar and want to debit your primary bank it takes anywhere from 7 to 9 days. But if you transfer from your primary bank to Flagstar, it goes within 2 or 3 days at most.Flagstar Bank Response

I tried to set up a savings account with ********************'s online bank, mybankingdirect. After several tries and detailed conversations with their representatives I was unable to complete the online application due to some glitch in their system. On two occasions I was told a technician would contact me to resolve the problem but this never happened. This was a frustrating waste of my time and horrible customer service.Flagstar Bank Response

Flagstar bank set me up with paperless from the moment my lender sold my mortgage over. I have had one advertisement sent to my email address. Needless to say, I received a welcome letter, one letter showing that they are selling off my personal information and only one statement to show that I was late on my payment because I was still paying my old lender. I do auto pay through my bank and generally pay an extra $100-150 in principal. So when they increased my escrow amount with no notification to me, I had no idea I was no longer making a full payment. Funny thing is it raised up to .29 more than my payment. That is when I got the concerning letter that said my payment was short of .29 and the check I sent was in a suspense account because of my short payment. NEVER NOTIFIED BY MAIL OR EMAIL THAT MY ESCROW AMOUNT INCREASED. I consider this lack of transparency and jeopardizing my credit very fraudulent. I regret UVM selling my loan to Flagstar and I do not consider them reputable. I pray to God they sell me off to a more reputable institution.Flagstar Bank Response

Do NOT work with Flagstar. They are by far the worst company I have ever done business with and are unwilling to assist in anyway without ruining your credit in the process. I would do everything you can to never get a mortgage or home equity with Flagstar. Please I urge you to go elsewhere or they will make you suffer. They are unethical and do NOT care about their customers in anyway. Again please go somewhere else. Anywhere else is an upgrade to Flagstar.Side note: I have heard great things about credit bureausFlagstar Bank Response

Worst mortgage company EVER!! My account was sold to ******************** by Rocket, and it has been a nightmare ever since. I had hail damage that left me with many leaks in my roof. My insurance covered the damages, but now Flagstar is holding my funds for weeks and telling me they will only release 25% until the work is complete. They then send out an inspector before releasing the rest of the funds. This means they expect me to pay out of pocket for all the work and then wait over a month to get reimbursed. Crooked to the core! In this economy, forcing people to use their own funds or take out loans to cover damages their insurance already paid for is beyond ridiculous! They have no care that we are sitting here daily dealing with water damage that is only getting worse! Stay far away from this lender!!Flagstar Bank Response

They messed up my credit score. I was laid off and was applying for financial hardship. There was no explanation that there would be hard credit score pulls and delinquency reports while you're in the process. If I had known that, I would not have started it at all and found a way to make the payment. They won't reverse the delinquency. No *****Flagstar Bank Response
