From answering the phone and providing reliable information pertaining to our move, to showing up on time, the crew was extremely friendly and courteous of our belongings. If you are hesitant and call around for quotes, don't fret. Use CMS and get the job done right with excellent customer service!

Devon, Travis, & Brady were the gentlemen who came to help me move. They were knowledgable, kind and respectful. They handled the furniture very carefully by wrapping in moving blankets. They moved with speed and agility. They made the experience of moving g a lot less stressful. I was their 2nd move for the day and they had 1 after me. I know they were tired but they never showed it. The price was extremely affordable and I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to anyone. Let me elaborate on why their was 3 moves in one day for these gentlemen. The morning of my move an employee called in sick. Instead of me getting excuses, they made it work. Now if that isn't a company that sticks to their word and honors their commitments I don't know what is!!!

If I could give 0 Stars I would. I had a moved scheduled for weeks from a 2 BR 1B House to a new home. I had all of my items packed and ready to go in the garage except the heavy items that were on upper level (1 large sofa, a hutch and 1 dining table). The lower level of house was clear except 1 recliner. We woke up at 6am for the Move Day to begin and said okay the truck has an 8 -9am window to arrive. When it did not come as scheduled, I called the receptionist and stated "Where is the truck and the two men scheduled to help us get moved?" From that point on the moving experience was terrible. The receptionist stated "Didn't XXX call you yesterday? They had to be at another job and there's a crew of 3 men and when they finish that job, they will head to your house." I said, "Who is XXX? I have no record of speaking with him and I have to be out of the house by Noon so I would have never agreed to that!" Of course, I am feeling angst at this point. The receptionist said well, "We will get the movers to you as soon as possible, it will be about 11am. " Well, needless to say, we were upset by MOVERs not being in our window of time initially SET UP and I decided to take one load to the new house. Shortly after I left, Co-owner of house said Movers have arrived and stated they were only charging for a two person move, even though there was a 3 man crew which I thought was fair. Co-owner of house asked movers, "Is it okay while you are loading truck that I run this load from small SUV over to new place?" Moving Crew told C-O that would be fine and we knew we had to get moving, truck was late and we were due out by Noon. To "keep an eye" on the move process at old house while we were trying to expedite this move, we had our trusted Realtor come to our old house. The new house is only 15 minutes from old house and in the time the Realtor was at house, we unpacked our SUVs and were heading back to old house when our Realtor called and stated "They want you to sign paperwork now for a three man move!" Imagine our shock when Co-owner of house already just signed paperwork for a 2 person move and had left house to unload SUV!! Granted Co-owner did not set up the original move appointment, but should have every right to sign the paperwork. Well, the Realtor being at house stated, "This is FXA%% BullxXXX!" Then from there the Movers literally removed the items they loaded onto truck and left us stranded for our MOVE Day with NO TRUCK at end of month. I was back at the Old House and never saw the MOVERS only the work that they had told Co-owner of house "looks more like a 7-8 hour job. You have a lot of miscellaneous items." Really?? New Owners of House had arrived now as it is after NOON and we can't move our things and furniture without a truck. With the last minute change in price and the lateness of the Moving Company, constantly changing the rules and the owner literally stating "My guys are burnt out. They are overworked and underpaid!" Whose fault is that? They wanted us to kiss their behinds to get a truck and put us in a predicament, tried to blame it on us that we were were unprepared for a move of this magnitude, etc., etc. Fast Forward to the next day, "the move" was completely finished by two dependable and hardworking men and a smaller truck. CITY MOVING and STORAGE of Anoka/Ramsey area was Undependable and Botched our MOVE DAY. We will never use this company's services again nor do we recommend them as they advertise, dependable and reliable. Consumers Beware of their tactics to have a move scheduled, switch it at last hour and then to literally leave a family stranded without a truck at end of a month on an important move!! Refusing to send a crew back to house. In reality, I think the MOVERs looked at the job were tired and did not want to work as they just came from another move. We were upfront about our scheduled move and what items we had. The Company did not do their part and plays the blame game when in reality the crew was tired and refused to work that day. When they know you are relying on their crew and truck and it is the end of the month, you are between a rock and a hard place. The lesson learned from our standpoint is to NEVER depend on CITY MOVING and STORAGE. Zero stars.

It took 3 hours for 3 men to move my belongings, 2 bedroom apartment, (only one bed). When moving one dresser on carpet they did not lift it. I heard the a noise when they were moving the dresser, the response of the young men when I asked if it broke was less than honest. I didn’t find out until later that one of the legs was broken. I have been trying for more than a month to get the owner/manager to pick up the piece for the repair it as he has promised. I paid $900 to have them move me. I understand that accidents happen, but I would have appreciated honesty when the mistake was made. Also, for that price I expect that the problem would be taken care of by now. The owner/manager has on repeated calls agreed to “get to the guy who does repairs for me,” to fix it. Also, be aware, they don’t charge travel time like a lot of other companies do, but charge a base charge of $198. I would not use this company again, or recommend them to friends or family.
