      bought a computer last November on ******. had troubles right away. put computer aside since it didnt work. My father looked at it last week and determined that the windows ********************************************** counterfeit. Business refuses to discuss it. What they did is illegal.

      Unfortunately, the Amazon Renewed replacement warranty is only good for 90-days.  As you purchased this unit back in November of 2023, we are now well beyond that return / replacement warranty period.  See their warranty information here: ****************************************************************************

      I purchased a restored dual desktop computer system. This was purchase through ******* platform from this seller so I want ******* listed as well. The system doesn't recognize the second monitor. I needed the second monitor- this was a system requirement for a contract position. I lost the position because the seller never responded to me and Wal-mart did not do anything to assist me with this issue.

      The customer purchased a PC from us in January off our Walmart.com. She first reached out  to us in February with an issue related to the operating system. One of our customer service agents assisted her in reinstalling Windows over the phone, and
      after the re-installation, she required some minor setup assistance, which our support team provided. About a month ago (July 2024), she contacted us again regarding a dual monitor setup issue. Our support agent informed her that we would no longer be able to replace the item as it was now well beyond the 90-day warranty period from the date of delivery offered on Walmart.com, and that we could only offer technical assistance.  After receiving this complaint, we again reached out to her today, August 15, 2024, in order to see if we can resolve her issue with the monitor. She requested that to call her tomorrow, Friday, August 15, 2024, which we will do.

       Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      I just want to clarify some of the information provided by the business. Windows was never re-installed or installed on my desktop by the business. I had to use my windows account to load on the new desktop and had to eventually purchase Windows. This merchant has not been very responsive or willing to assist with my issues from the beginning. This was the first time the merchant has called me back and they never contacted me about the dual monitor situation until they received the notice from you, The BBB. I actually had to explain my issue to the owner on Thursday when he called. And a follow-up call was scheduled for Friday and the dual monitor detection issue has been resolved.

      I want to thank the BBB for all of your assistance in this issue.

      The manager of this company has extremely poor customer service skills. We bought a computer for our son for Christmas - it never worked from the start. We called several different times in which we were instructed to just restart the computer. That obviously didnt fix anything. After asking multiple times for a replacement, the manager informed me it would be my responsibility to package and return the items before anything was sent to us. We then opted for a refund and the manager gave the same instructions. I asked to speak to someone else and he told me he was the highest I could speak to. He interrupted me constantly. This company has just been a NIGHTMARE to deal with. Save yourself the trouble & DO NOT buy from this company.

      It is standard practice for any retailer to have the customer return the item before an exchange, replacement or refund is sent.  If you purchase something from ******, Target, Best Buy or Amazon, they will happily replace or refund any item, as will we at SJ Computers, but no one will do it if you have not returned the original first.

      After receiving the ** Win 10 disk top computer. I transferred music from a thumb drive to the refurb win 10 **. A win 10 was completely new to me. I had a win 7. The music would not play so I contacted SJ. After a couple of transfers and quite a long time, I was asked to download the *** media app. They stepped me though it and we finally got it all to work. I failed to see if the CD player worked. Big mistake.I just put a cd into the desktop and the music only showed that that were 18 songs on it. No descriptions to the songs. Using the downloaded app *** they would not play, actually *** crashed. I even used a standalone cd player (my win 7 didn't work). It did not work either.I agree that my warranty has run out just over the 90 days. So I called thinking they might continue to help me since it was obvious they had sent me a computer without the capability of playing music. I assumed that my music issues were fixed.They refused to even offer any response and repeated that the warranty had run out.I see their constant response to other problems here is about the same repeated "sorry but go away". It was promised in the ad that I would receive a completely functional computer.That did not happen. I would expect maybe a few minutes with one of their techs and my problem would be fixed. I would never buy from SJ again.

      Dear **********************,

      I am sorry to hear of the difficulties with your audio files.  Unfortunately, if the CD player was able to read up the 18 songs that were on the disk, the optical drive itself is, in fact, working.  If there were songs missing or your VLC player was crashing, the problem was with the original burning of the audio CD itself.  It is very likely that there was an issue with the copying of the files to the thumb drive initially that was the cause of the problem.  It could also be that there was either an improper completely to the burning of the CD or corruption of some kind that was burned to the disc itself that is preventing the file from being able to be played.  But, it cannot be an issue with the hardware only reading some of the data.  That's not how optical drives work.  They can either read the media or they cannot.  In some cases, where the CD or DVD media is physically scratched, then and only then is it possible that it could read or play a file some files and not others.  But again, even in this latter scenario, the issue is not with the CD / DVD optical drive being able to read the media or the thumb drive itself, it is one or both of those media sources itself that is the issue.  Unfortunately, you did not buy either of those media sources from us.  More unfortunately, the CD / DVD optical drive is working.  As such, even if the warranty were not expired on your **, replacing the ** or the optical drive completely would yield the same result with your.

      You guys sure go through some loops to mislead and misconstrue issue.

      This was an original *********************** cd.  It plays on other venues.  

      I used an stand alone cd player plugged in a USB port and got the same results as the cd player you sent me.

      Nice try. What you wish is that I am done with you and am no longer wasting my time on this issue which was all the fault of a machine delivered to me that was missing the ability to play music off of the hard drive or via the cd player.

      Do not I repeat do not buy from these scammers they seriously sent me anything they wanted and Amazon let this happen unbelievable.. my son Christmas gift messed up because of them, this is the only thing he really wanted and they sent me a *** computer the picture shows a **** computer false advertising, stay clear from this fake company $189.00 down the drain, I look online and they are scamming everyone, on ************** Amazon and God only Know what other platforms theyre using to scam people. how is they getting away with this? Is this American or what, Im Contacting my lawyer and I wont stop till they get what they deserve, shut them done take their seller license away, no one deserves to be treated like trash, I work hard for my money and to be taken advantage of is by means the saddest thing a company can do to a 13 years old great kids who was trying to understand how someone can lied about an item on Amazon and get away with it. BBB needs to do something fast
