      I am the executer of my mother's estate. I am trying to close her accounts. It's been 1 1/2 years and it's still not closed, misinformation given it them, no one to talk to, rude on the phone when you get someone all paperwork has been sent to them 5 times. I have had to get new updated court documents 3 times. Very slow to respond. I would not recommend this company.

      The have the worst customer service and they do not respond in a timely fashion. They give you the run around when attempting to sell you shares. They act is they are not knowledgeable about whats happening with your account.

      I am beyond horrified and devastated. It has become necessary for me to sell some shares in my account and when I went online 6 days ago, my account is at zero. The person in customer service had to put me on hold for a lengthy period of time just to get answers to my questions. On the phone at least an hour. The answer I finally received was that the reason I can't see the amount is that I changed the names on my account and they now have to give me a new account number that will take about 10 days. I added my children as (***) beneficiaries. I was told that the money is still intact and will receive appropriate dividends, however, I can't touch it until I can see it online with new account number. I signed nothing that stated that I would not be able to do anything with my account until I get a new one, I desperately need to do a transaction, and I'm still not sure if that money is invested any longer. This is the worst business and I'm scared as this is all I have to count on financially. No stars

      I have been trying for months to get my name changed on my shares (maiden name to married name). I fear this is retaliation because I told them that I would be moving my shares to another company once my name was changed. Now they want to charge me $75 after months of filling out paperwork and making appointments with notary's. Unethical business and I will be filing a complaint with the ***.

      EQ Shareowner Services is not allowing me to completely sell off my shares to close my account. The sale appears to go through online, but then after a couple weeks of back-and-forth, now they are telling me I can only sell shares via writing due to security reasons. This seems to be their tactic to delay account closures.

      The business practices of this organization are highly questionable. I tried to execute an online sale of shares held in my account as I had done previously a few weeks earlier. I was informed that due to a change of policy due to security concerns, I would need to complete one of their forms and get a Medallion stamp, and then return it to their office by snail mail before a sales order would be executed. They also indicated that they would execute the order but I could no longer specify a selling limit. In other words, they placed me at the mercy of the market on the day they executed the order. I was told that the proceeds would be sent by check which I should receive within ten business days from the date they processed the withdrawal; alternatively, I could provide my banking information and they would do an automated funds transfer to my account. I chose the latter because it was faster and more secure than sending a check through the mail. You can imagine my anger when I followed up to confirm the transaction had been completed and was told to expect a check within ten business days. I queried why on earth they didn't to a bank transfer per my written request on their form. The response was that they could only do a check because the amount of money exceeded $10,000. This is absolute hogwash! Nowhere is it communicated on their website, their form required for the sales execution or in their written communication with me of such a requirement. These people make up the rules as the game is being played to the detriment of their customers. Now, they have use of MY money for however long it takes to receive their check. For all I know, the check hasn't even been mailed over a week later and I need to worry about the security of a paper check in the meantime. Outrageous customer service. They are not worthy of anyone's business and certainly not mine.

      The WORST! Has helped to assure ** employees received the short end of the stick, covered in f**** Getting claims filed a nightmare requires a *** in finance.and the ability to contain yourself when it comes to f****** lawyers.AVOID at All cost. Nightmare process to get your own money out.

      This company is unethical and corrupt. They will replace a lost stock certificate for you but they will keep 15% of the total value. They will get you your rightful dividend payment but they will keep 15%. They will sell your stocks for you but they will keep 15%. Read the fine print. They will tell you the check is in the mail and it will never arrive. You will get a different story every time you call. They bank on you giving up. Check out the lawsuit they lost. Stay far away from them this company.

      If I could give them a negative I would. It appears they have a similar track record of stalling and over charging. If you can avoid using this company I would. Like other reviews it took me five different times to finally sell the ******* stock. I have never seen this level of nonsense and selective selling, truly a company that needs to be investigated by the ***.

      This is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. I'm going through the same issues as everyone else has reading these posts. I've contacted them probably over 100 times since April. I've been told to send in different forms on several occasions only to be told they never received it. These forms were even sent in with a tracking number and they they haven't received them. I've talked to several " support specialist" and none of these people know what their doing and apparently they don't report to anyone else which is a joke! Please do not use this company or you will have the same issues as everyone else has.
