On June 1, 2023, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b)(1)(9), 326B.84 (11)(15) and 326B.805, subd. 5(c) (2022). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to revocation of the residential building contractor license for the business and the qualifying builder registration for Steven B. Jones and agreed to cease and desist from acting as a residential building contractor, remodeler or residential roofer in Minnesota. The business also agreed to cooperate with consumers attempts to collect from the Builders Recovery Fund. A penalty of $10,000.00 is stayed on the condition that the business and the owner fully comply with the terms of the Order and any laws, rules or Orders under DLI authority.
