This company replaced my neighbors driveway last year. The driveway is on the property line. They added several inches to the base and then another almost inch of asphalt. They regraded the driveway as well as added to the elevation so that it directs water on to my property. My basement now floods overtime there is a heavy rain. I have water damage and am looking at thousands of dollars of landscaping to mitigate the water flow. They have refused to regraded the driveway or put in subsurface drainage on my neighbors property. After of months of unreturned phone calls, they finally added a 2 in tall asphalt barrier which did nothing. Looks like I am headed to small claims court with my neighbor. BEWARE of this company or you may suffer my fate.

************************* is not a customer of ********************** The issue is regarding a driveway we installed at his neighbor's home: ******************************* We installed the driveway on 6/7/2023. This driveway runs between two houses to the street, and we replaced the existing driveway 'as is' with no changes.  ******** contacted our customer about his water issues on 6/10/********* YEAR LATER-- and our customer paid to have landscaping done between the driveway and ********'s house. ADC received notice and talked with ******** on 8/6/2024 @ 1:30pm about his issue.  On 8/13/2024 ******** called our office and set an appointment to meet for 9am on 8/16/2024.  *****, our service manager, called ******** back on 8/13/2024 at 6pm to move up appointment.  ******** wanted to keep appointment on 8/16/2024. ***** then met with ******** at 9:10am on 8/16/2024. It was raining during the meeting and water was running to edge and down driveway.  Being that ******* was having issues in his basement we agreed to install a curb along a section of the driveway edge to divert the water. (NOTE: Water from ********'s roof falls into the landscaped area between the driveway and his house and also has gutters dumping into the landscaping along his house.)  On 8/21/2024 ADC installed curbing.  On 8/27/2024, per ********'s request, at 6:47am ***** sent ADC email address to him. On 8/29/2024 9:52am ADC received an email forwarded to us from our customer, ********'s neighbor, that more flooding occurred with the 'heavy rains' that morning. On 8/30/2024 4pm ***** talked with ******** on phone requesting meeting with ADC Owner, *****, and ******** for 9/3/2024. ******** wanted 'something' in writing and would not meet. On 9/4/2024 at 10am the owner of ADC stopped at driveway and flooded it with water to see drainage and check area of concern.  Water was draining to curb and down driveway.  ADC Owner determined the curb needs to be extended further to force water further down driveway between the houses. Left a message for ******** to call my office to discuss additional ideas he and I can agree on, regarding what ADC can and will do to improve the drainage. Did not receive a return call back from ********.  Left another message at 9am on 9/5/2024 for ******** to call me. Will continue to try and contact ******* before more work is completed at job site.

I made an appointment with this company and turns out to be a complete waste of time. I called ahead to confirm the appointment at my house. I get a call after coming home to hear that Terry was running over 30 minutes late. A complete waste of my time. Additionally this is the only company I have worked with that requires me to be present during the quote generation. If you are busy and cannot take time out when a quote is generated look elsewhere,

We're sorry that ****** was inconvenienced.  Unfortunately Asphalt Driveway cannot be the best option for everyone.  Yes, we do require homeowners to be present while we give a free estimate for potential work performed at their home.  It's been proven that there is, more often than not, different options or considerations to be made with any asphalt or concrete project and it's more time efficient for everyone to have our estimates still completed on site with everyone involved.  Unfortunately for ****** our estimator, *****, was running behind schedule due to an appointment running long.  ****** had called our office that morning and we had confirmed that his appointment was 1pm. ***** did call at 1pm and let ****** know he'd be there in about 15 minutes or so.  That was unacceptable to ****** who, unbeknownst to us, had left work for this meeting.  ***** offered to reschedule to an evening/Saturday appointment, so ****** didn't have to leave work to meet with us.  That was also unacceptable to *************  ****** then called our office and relayed his complaint about the way we do business and his experience with *****. As well as leaving a message with our owner, of which ****** has already received a call back and a message left apologizing and with an explanation on how and why we do business the way we do.  We wish ****** the best with his project and apologize that our model of business doesn't work for ****** allowing us to give him a quote for consideration.
