A company that identified itself as "Financial Recovery and Collection Services" called my cell to say that I owed about $500 to Alliance Laboratories (a legitimate laboratory) and the debt had been turned over for collection. They insisted I pay today. I asked for a manager, who gave me some details about some thyroid tests -- that I did not have done in the time period they claimed. They claimed I had received multiple bills from Alliance, which I had not. I confirmed with Alliance that they had no record of me and I tried to call back at the number the collection agency gave me. The call went directly to voice mail without identifying the business, then said the mailbox was full and hung up. I conclude the call was a scam.

This company called and said I had an outstanding bill for lab work. They are the most most cunning scam artist I have ever experienced. They had invoice numbers they gave me the name of the representative along with a phone number and an extension and reference the bill from October 20 22 that we didn’t pay. A typical bottom feeding zombie debt collector. They harassed my for six months looking for someone name "Lydia" even through I had my number for over 10 years, they simply would not stop till I sent a C&D letter the CEO's house (THIS IS KEY TO GETTING THE CALLS TO STOP WHEN THEY ARE CALLING). I too am very surprise this companyh is still around since they waste some much time chasing after the wrong people! FRS: dont bother with your canned response of gaslighting and BS. They call incessantly 6-7 times a week. Their call center is off-shore in Jamaica. The representatives accents are difficult to understand, they are very curt, phishing for information but are not forthcoming at all. They refuse to give out any info regarding who the alleged creditor is, account information, etc. During a particularly contentious episode the representative said " Goodbye, white boy" and hung up. Highly unprofessional. I will be making a report to federal authorities. They have I'm not giving these scammers any personal info. I have spoken to a consumer attorney and am considering a class action lawsuit. They have violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1692 et seq. Our representatives are trained to treat all individuals in a professional manner. We do not condone or tolerate rude or unprofessional behavior and we routinely conduct training on professional telephone techniques and treating everyone in a respectful and professional manner. Additionally, our office does not make any excessive phone calling attempts. In the event an individual notifies our office that a phone number is not a phone number for the party we are trying to reach or that the party we are trying to reach requests for the phone number to be removed, our office updates our files accordingly and does not place any additional calls to that number. Please provide us with additional details such as the name of the party we were trying to reach or a telephone number our office called so that we can attempt to locate and review any corresponding files and reply accordingly.Review from HockeyGurl D

This company calls my business repeatedly looking for an individual that is not here. They do not take NO for an answer. They are rude and aggressive and belligerent. They can take their harrassing tactics somewhere else, I have blocked their number(s).Financial Recovery Services, Inc. Response

We have attempted to locate an account that this review could possibly be in reference to and we are unable to locate any such accounts, as this review does not provide the company name, partys name we were trying to reach, or the phone number that our company may have dialed. It is our company policy that once we determine or have reason to believe that contact information is incorrect, we immediately remove any incorrect contact information from our system and we do not attempt the incorrect phone number or address any further. There are businesses in other states with similar business names and this review could possibly be meant for one of those businesses. They constantly call. We receive 2-3 calls per day and nonstop. We have no debt, so no idea why they are calling. We need them to stop. They have been reported to stop and they still do.Financial Recovery Services, Inc. Response

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this review. Our office has been trying to reach a consumer since 7/2/19 who has the same name as the party completing this review. Our office has not had any luck reaching this consumer and since we have had no contact with this consumer before this review; our office had not been advised that this consumer has requested phone calls to stop. It is our policy to remove any phone number from our system when a consumer or third party advises our office not to call or that it is a wrong number. Additionally, we have reviewed our internal call logs for the matter involving the same name as the party completing this review and there have been no excessive calls as this review indicates. In an effort to resolve this matter, we have noted this review and removed all phone numbers that we believe *** be associated with this customer review. We would recommend that the party completing this review call our office directly so we can discuss any personal business matter that *** be in our office for them.Review from Dorothea M

I received a call from Adrian, operator number 4005 on12-3-21 at 12:12PM, she said she was representing Financial Recovery and collections, she stated that I owe them money for blood work dating back a few years. I never received any bill or phone call from them. She could not give me dates of any notices, I asked why I was never left a message, she said they don't leave messages and that unless I pay them $456 today, right now, that I will have a judgement against me. Then she hung up! No information on how to contact them. She just hung up, I called back the number she called from, 65x-300-2x33 and it plays music, then hangs up. I am unsure what to do at this point! I asked her to validate this debt before she hung up and she stuttered and said they already mailed notices.Financial Recovery Services, Inc. Response

We have attempted to locate an account that this review could possibly be in reference to and are unable to locate any such account using the supplied telephone number, address or names associated with the review. Our internal call logs do not reflect that our office has placed any telephone calls within the last two years to the number associated with this review. Moreover, **************** references the call being regarding collections for medical services and our office does not collect on or service any medical accounts. There are businesses in other states that use the same or similar business name that we do and we believe this review is meant for one of those businesses, especially since our internal search came up without any possible corresponding accounts or call attempts to the phone number associated with the review. We are happy to answer any questions **************** may have regarding her review and our corresponding response, however we do not believe her review was meant for our office, Financial Recovery Services, Inc.
