On October 13, 2021, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11(b)(8)(9); 326B.33, subd. 12 and 326B.36 (2020). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to ensure that each individual who performs electrical work for the business holds a valid master or journeyworker license or is a registered unlicensed electrician and provide direct supervision of unlicensed employees as required by Minn. Stat. 326B.33, subp. 12(a) and ensure that all required electrical permits are filed and all requests for inspections are completed when the work is performed. The business shall pay $4,000.00 of a $10,000.00 civil penalty, with the balance stayed on the condition that the business complies with the terms of the Consent Order and has no future violations of any law, rules or orders under DLI's responsibility.
